What's new about your role in Left Right Left? It's the role of a rough and rugged army commando, Gunny, who appears to be bad but eventually turns good. We'll be helping the cadets fulfill Captain Rajveer's (Rajeev Khandelw- al) dream. Apparently Gaurav Chopra was not able to do the action sequences, and that's why you were roped in? No comments. Why did you choose the role? I wanted to play this character because it was completely different from the chocolate-boy image that I have. Besides I have always wanted to do macho roles. How did you prepare for it? I watched the Die Hard series many times just to pick up Bruce Willis' body language. It takes a lot of effort to portray the character of a soldier who's been hardened by battle. Haven't you already played an armyman in Kashmeer? Yes, but Kashmeer was essentially a love story. While LRL is a total action adventure. Hasn't Khandelwal's exit affected the show's TRPs? Whenever a lead actor exits a show there are bound to be repercussions. But I can't say much.. I'm here to do my job. What about your film career? True, my first two films, Yakeen, Hum Jo Keh Na Paaye didn't do well. But I haven't given up yet.. let's hope a good role comes my way soon.
