Music Composer Aadesh Shrivastava Critical In Kolilaben Ambani Hospital
Family rallying around but...
Grief has struck Vijeta Pandit again. In 2012 her elder sister Sandhya Singh was murdered, now her husband-musician Aadesh Shrivastava is battling for life in Kokilaben Ambani Hospital (Andheri, Mumbai).
Aadesh has been hit by a relapse of multiple myeloma- a cancer of plasma cells which causes a collection of abnormal plasma cells to accumulate in the bone marrow, where they interfere with the production of normal blood cells

When contacted, Vijeta's brother Lalit (of Jatin-Lalit fame) said, "Yes, Aadesh is in a very bad state. He is in the hospital since 40 days."
When probed further, Lalit said, "We got some injections imported from the US but those didn't work on him. We have tried every possible treatment but his health continues to deteriorate. Since the past couple of days, he cannot even stand up on his feet. He recognises people but hardly talks."
So who is looking after him? "Vijeta is with him 24 X 7, she is going through a terrible time in her life. Their sons Avitesh and Anivesh are not independent yet, in fact Anivesh is just in Std 10."
We wonder how many people from Bollywood have visited Aadesh to stand by Vijeta and him in their yet another moment of crisis. When cancer struck Aadesh in 2010, most Bollywood colleagues chose to stay away from him. Aadesh, who has given hits like Sona sona, Shava shava, Gustakhiyaan and Gur nalon ishq mitha among many others, had even told a section of the media: "Falling ill so suddenly was traumatic. But the cold-shoulder treatment I got from the people with whom I've closely worked with for years, has caused me even more damage than the disease itself."
And, he had to sell his favourite Hummer car at a throwaway price to pay the hospital bills. "Things are fine now. We are managing the medical expenses," Lalit replied, his voice choking with emotion.
A source close to Vijeta told 9xe.com, "Vijeta is praying and doing everything she can to save Aadesh. But he is slipping away."
