😉😳 Just a fun poll. Ranbir's success was short-lived, it it a fluke? And make your vote special and opinion known. You will have to see if multiple votes are allowed or not.

Hmm definetely overhyped by media and industry as THE Kapoor he must be the best and Kjo definetely proved this by compering him with the Khans in his show. I think he didnt have back then really strong contemporaries actingwise and he was the choice after the Khans because they were pretty much obsessed with commercial movies in their style so directors with visions prefered Ranbir who actually wants to act. Now there are talented actors like him and some who even look better than him or have a much more appealing personality than him. Now for all actors it matters the kind of choices they make to be successful because it comes and goes with the kind of movies the made it can go either way. And Ranbirs current status definetely indicates this. Now people say he will jump back yes because the kind of movies he is doing are pretty much a safe bet (Tamasha, Kjos and even JJ are the same world) and thats only because he wants to get again back to the YJHD success to try again different stuff.

Absolutely not! Ranbir is a very talented actor who is passionate about his work. He already has a variety of roles to talk about and has never shied away from a challenging character. I am convinced he is going through a rough phase. One hit and he'll be back in the game.

Media definitely did hype him but it's the same media that's pulling him down now so it works both ways.

So many votes for first option :O
OT: No. He's a good actor and everything will be fine when he gives a hit... but bombay velvet will forever haunt him as the biggest disaster of BW.

Yes his records says so. Media and some members hype him too much. All the love of acting type pp dont hype Aamir, Rajkumar, Irfan, nawaz not even amitabh bachhan itna jitna Rk ko karte hai. He is a failure outside his comfort zone of charlie chaplin type boy or urban boy. Rowdy type character, action, comedy, period movie, intense characters and even passionate romantic of his fail. I remember in one show a critic also called him the actor who jumps from one coming of age movie to another. He catches attention only in that type of movie.

This forum works in weird ways..how can you say what Ranbir achieved is a fluke? He is a talented actor and an actor to watch out for the next two decades at least.
It is just that a couple of years back he was perceived as a big threat to the Khans, he was antagonised by a lot of Khan fans, so when he gave three back to back flops, the same fans reveled in his failure. We live in a world of schadenfreude.

Even if you look up the BO records of Amitabh Bachchan or the Khans, they have delivered a lot many duds than Ranbir, in the beginning of their careers. It is just like saying Aishwarya is not a superstar because she gave a few flops, but at the same time calling Madhuri and Sridevi superstars when they'd given colossal flops too during their time.

Like I said, this forum works in weird ways, and this probably the first time all the male stars' fans came together to vote against Ranbir (looking at the proportion of votes against him).

Anyways, Ranbir is here to stay. He is here for the long run. He is not an Abhishek or an Arjun. He will certainly be number 1, sooner or later.

Nope! Not for me at least. Barfi changed my perception about him as an actor and this guy is a damn good actor. The only Kapoor I actually enjoy watching. He's jinxed right now 😆 But hopefully he'll bounce back

Yes he was(still is) over hyped by the media but that cannot take away the fact that he is a very fine actor.
He is going through a rough patch that's it.
