Ok so this week's spoiler truly does raise this question in my head...should girls even take part in SRGMP and not only just SRGMP even other reality shows...I do admit that there have been a few female winners in the past...but Sanchita was a little champ..so that means she wont even get to sing till she's 18 or something...anyways back to my question...since we've seen that "history repeats itself" on the SRGMP stage.....and it clearly shows that girls are not getting enough votes no matter ho fabulous they sing....so if girls don't eve get a chance to come in the top 4 what's the point of girls even auditioning for these competitions??????

exposure.
Just because they don't make it to the finals, doesn't mean they cannot become successful from these shows. Look at Nihira, she didn't win but she got an offer from SEL. And Himani has gotten quite a few songs, and she is releasing an album soon. Whether they won or not, they r doing well for themselves

i think each week 2 people should be eliminated, one male and one female, and then 2 people should win in each gender

😕

i disagree that there is sexual apartheid here.
Moreoever, is "girls not participating" the solution?

Mary Curie sat in the basement to do her research since male scientists would not allow her to share their work space. Decades later, we have a great percentage of female scientists in every field and men could not stop us anyway. So quitting in my opinion is absolutely not the solution..

to begin with, lets see what is lacking? let us get to the root of the problem and analyze it. i doubt it is a gender bias. never watched 2005, dunno what happened to nihira, but am fine with the gals being eliminated at this stage in 2007.

I read somewhere that a huge chuck of voters are teenage girls... and they vote to the 'cute' boys (Amanat is so cuuuuuuuuute!!!)...and not to the best singers. So if the major voter base -- teenage girls -- is with boys, how on this earth a girl will win the contest... so if what I read is true, I would say you girls are your own enemy..... now who is doing gender discrimination here?

Yh I think they should... even if they don't win atleast their talent is recognised which could boost their career... Nihira for instance participated in Challenge 2005 but didn't win... however, in my opinion she is doing better than Debojit who won the whole show... Winning is not all... it's when you step into that world how you succeed in it is what really counts
