Should acid throwers get worse punishment than rapists?

There are a lot of cases of jilted men throwing acid to disfigure women. Acid victims endure lifelong pain, both physical and mental.

How would one feel if suddenly their beautiful face and body was charred beyong recognition and people look at you with pity? Where once, the person was the cynosure of all eyes, now they are avoided.

Should acid throwers get the same if not worst punishment than rapists? Such cowardly men and occasionally women deserve the worst.

There can be different degrees of brutality in case of rape but effect of acid attack is always gruesome. Punishment must be given accordingly.

In my opinion, they should have acid on poured on them as well, so that they cab actually get a feel for the heinous crime they have committed.

When it comes to rape, there is still some chance that the woman is lying (there have been cases, woman fake getting raped). But no one would actually throw acid on themselves just for the sake of revenge..
