Balki's romcom is not a cakewalk for sure, but Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are definitely having loads of fun.
Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor have been locked up for over 20 hours in their new home. The husband has been cooking up a storm while the corporate exec starts her day with a business paper.
Now, if you're wondering why nawab Saif Ali Khan is cool with the arrangement, it's because he knows it's not for real. His begum is simply playing her part with Arjun Kapoor in R Balki's much-talked about romcom, Ki and Ka.
The unit wrapped up the Mumbai schedule this week, and a smashing birthday sequence, last Saturday. 'Ki' Kareena plastered yummy chocolate cake all over 'Ka' Arjun's face. "Arjun is a darling, we had so much fun shooting together. We're both totally prepared as actors and have canned some crackling scenes for Balki," the actress beams, putting paid to the buzz that there's a lot of bickering on the sets between the reel life patipatni.
Kareena plays a chic working woman who is the bread-winner while her MBA-hubby chooses to be at home and make bread. "I've been doing a lot of reading. I'm up till the wee hours reading lots and lots of books," says the actress, getting into character.
And Arjun is totally fida over his on-screen better half. "Honestly, I don't know about real life dates but in my cinematic universe, Kareena Kapoor Khan is my ideal date. The best I could have asked for. Working with her just makes filming more enjoyable," asserts the actor, who recently went through 21 costume changes for a cook-out sequence, which went on till 5am.
Well! Aaj ka Arjun has been getting a lot of female attention since news leaked that he was playing a stay-at-home husband, whose aim is to pamper his woman. "I'm used to fans expressing their love for me but one girl showed up on the sets with a kundli in her hand and a proposal on her lips. That one took the cake," he says, with a still-dazed look, adding, "Girls screaming for my attention is one thing, but for them to see me as husband material... Overwhelming! I would be lying if I didn't say that it's also a bit embarrassing."
