Isn't Shaandar releasing October 22nd? So Alia will be busy with promotions. She won't be available till end of October. Between her schedule and SRK finishing Raees and promoting Dilwale either this movie is not starting till next year or he really does have a cameo.

Karan Malhotra said Shuddhi will begin early next year in an interview with Komal Nahta just before Brothers released.

SRK in his latest interview spoke about wrapping up his films before Feb at which point he might need major surgery. He didn't say anything about this film.

So I don't know about cameo, but I don't think he is main lead. Alia will probably shoot this film in Nov, Dec and Jan.
