Hrithik Roshan will be resting for a good six months after he completes his 3-day shoot for Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodhaa Akbar in October first week. The handsome hunk gets six months off because dad Rakesh Roshan's Krrish 2, earlier scheduled to begin in January 2008, has been postponed further and will now start in April 2008.
A source close to the Bollywood super hero informs, "Hrithik has no film on hands presently. He was listening to a lot of scripts but none of those were exciting enough for him to sign on the dotted line. He had kept in mind the Krrish 2 first schedule that was supposed to start from January 2008. But following the delay, he will now virtually be on a holiday for six months." Roshan Sr is working on the Krrish 2 script along with a host of writers who were also part of the Krrish team. Earlier, despite many drafts, the end result was not turning out to be satisfactory for the Roshans. Hrithik was putting in his creative inputs too. But it is all taking a lot of time. They had initially started with a basic plot of Hrithik fighting his own darker side in the film, on the lines of Hollywood super hero flick, Spider Man 3. But then the script in entirety was not looking exciting so a decision was taken by the writers of getting the popular alien character from Koi Mil Gaya, Jadoo back for Krrish 2. But then again it was all collectively heading to something else. So now, Rakesh Roshan has kept his other script, which he was working on simultaneously, aside and is fully focusing on writing the sequel script. But it is all going to take some time, at least a good 2-3 months for its completion," adds another source.
"Also, Rakesh Roshan has now decided that he would concentrate on completing and releasing his under production film, Krazzy 4 (directed by assistant Raja Sen) first before actually starting to shoot for Krrish 2. Krazzy 4 is scheduled for an April 2008 release," the source adds before signing off.
Hrithik, in the meanwhile, shall be featuring in a host of ads and is also planning to take a well deserved holiday break abroad along with wife Suzanne and son, Hrehan.
Hrithik's next release, Jodhaa Akbar is scheduled for release on January 25.
