Raja's tonal quality is tailormade for the high-pitched Punjabiesque songs in the Sukhvinder Singh mould...Personally,I want Raja to choose those songs which flatter his voice....It's a safe bet that if Raja renders the songs flawlessly,he has a very strong chance of winning the competition....I'd personally like to hear him sing
)Title track of Chak De India!!>..This song is immensely popular,it's almost like the latest anthem and a cult song like Dhoom Machale(Sunidhi chauhan's version!!!.....A zingy foot-tapping number which I'm sure Raja would be able to do justice to...
)Dard-E-Disco from Om Shanti Om....Peppy number sung by Sukhvinder Singh...A chartbuster in the making!!
)Title track of Mangal Pandey....Another high-pitched song which would sit Raja's voice to the T.
)Title track of Rang De Basanti....A quasi Bhangra number,an avalanche of lines sung in the higher octave...Popular song!!
)I personally feel Raja can pull off a Kunal Ganjawala number too....I don't think Raja has ever attempted a Kunal Ganjawala number, but I would suggest "Dil Na Diya" of the film Krrish....
)I aren't sure if the song "Mitwa" of KANK has ever been rendered on C-2007,but is it hasn't,then Raja definitely needs to add that song to his list.
)Khaike Paan Banaras Wala from the film Don.
)Yeh Dosti of Sholay
)Rote Hue Aate Hai Sab of Muqqaddar Ka Sikandar
)Satrangi Re from Dil Se.
)Bolka Na Halke from Jhoom Barabar Jhoom
)Ek LAdki Ko Dekha...1942 A Love story
)Aayo Re Sakhi from Water...
)Bombay Dreams or Boro Boro...Both are compositions of Arash
)Aadat...By Jal
)At the risk of being completely tongue-lashed and mocked at,I say this...I personally feel,Raja could even try a Himesh Reshammiya song 😳 i.e. one sung by His Himeshness 😳 😉 ..HR's uniqueness stems from the fact that he composes some of the most dangerously high-pitched numbers from himself...And as much as I hate to admit it,a precious few compositions of Himesh are actually good...Veeraniyaan of Namaste London for instance...And singing an "autorickshaw" number like Jhalak Dikhla Ja wouldn't hurt either..I mean,it IS a hit number lapped up by the masses, isnt it?? 😉
Concerning Aneek and Amanat, they have such run-of-the mill voices, they could sing any song, they'd sing it melodiously enough for the judges to lap it up approvingly
