Part 2

The night of passion and new found desires had to end to begin a day of shocks and heart-breakers. The naughty rays of sun, lingered on the angelic face of Khushi who was snuggling into her husband, her love, her Arnav as she felt irritated by the rays of sun falling on her.

Arnav had his one hand around her, securing her in place and his other hand was resting on his bare chest, while Khushi's head was resting just above Arnav's heart, which would soon start beating for her.

The night might have united them physically but uniting mentally and emotionally was yet to happen, for them to fall in love completely. Khushi's eyes were the first to open and she felt immensely shy to even look at Arnav, after such a passionate night, which she would never forget in her life.

Khushi grabbed the sari which was lying on the side table and wrapped it around her chest, covering her in the best possible way as she moved away from Arnav as her instincts told her that it was almost noon and they also had to travel after refreshing themselves.

Arnav, on the other hand, was irritated to lose the softness from his grip and his eyes flung open as the first sight in front of his was that of a retreating Khushi. Though his heart didn't want distances for even a second, he couldn't stop her.

Just as he would not be able to say anything for every distance, destiny will cause in between them.

Magadh,

Arnav and Khushi finally reached Magadh after a quiet and awkward journey which surely ended up making them extremely tired.

The news of their marriage had not yet reached Magadh as Arnav himself ordered the convoys to not take the news to his mother, as he himself wanted to tell her, how exactly he won a bride for himself.

Arnav looked at Khushi with pride and joy in his eyes, while moving into the inner palace chambers, where Amrita was supposed to be there.

Arnav and Khushi looked around to see that some extravagant preparations were taking place.

Did Magadh come to know about their wedding?

No No, answered Arnav to himself who trusted the convoys to not overrule his orders.

As Khushi was looking around with vague mixture of excitement and nervousness, Arnav had found his mother speaking to some of the head maids.

"Praanipat Mata, Look what I have got along with me from Manipur. I got the biggest gift of my life from there." exclaimed Arnav, while Khushi blushed with his choice of words.

" Really? I will look at it later. Right now I am busy, Putra." said Amrita, not even caring to look at Arnav, as the news of him coming back had already reached her and she had found something more important than her son at the moment.

" Mata,At least look at it once, please. I am sure you will feel elated by its priceless nature." said Arnav, with the excitement coming down.

" Whatever you have brought, hand it over to Anant and stop disturbing me, I have to prepare for Jiji and Jeejaji, who are coming here." said Amrita, said while ordering to the maids who were helping her.

The earth under the feet of Arnav and Khushi was snatched. The genuine smile dancing on their lips vanished for once and for all. The bud of love was cut before it could even bloom.

They wanted to give a surprise to Amrita by introducing her to her new daughter-in-law but here, but they themselves got the biggest shock they could ever get.

But bigger shock was the silence which Arnav beheld. Khushi felt tormented by his silence, his acceptance towards the words articulated by his mother.

What was this game of destiny which chose her to be the love of someone and life of someone else?

Amrita who completed her work had turned around to see what her Arnav had actually brought. Only then did she realize the blunder she made, the sin she committed by separating two lovers and the mistake she did by being so careless.

" Arnav??" said Amrita, as a questioning look developed on her face.

On the other hand, Arnav had only then realized how important had Khushi become in his life just in a matter of some hours. As his mother's words echoed in his brain, he felt as if he had lost the biggest battle of his life. Only then, Arnav's heart truly started beating for her.

Whoever said that the love without pain and separation is not actually love, said the ultimate truth.

While Arnav was walking on the path of realization in silence and solitude, Khushi was burning in the fire of pain. Khushi took his silence as his acceptance of his mother's wish.

" I am ready, Mata." Khushi suddenly remarked bringing both Arnav and Amrita out of their respective reveries.

The moment Arnav actually gained Khushi was also the moment he lost her, forever. Because the moment of realization would cause nothing but a lifetime full of pain and guilt.

Anant, on the other hand who was nothing but a silent spectator of this intense moment was more than happy with the decision of his sister-in-law and soon to-be-wife. Anant was known to be the strict follower of righteousness but the moment he laid his eyes on Khushi, all his righteousness flew outside the window.

Even after Arnav telling him about the marriage, he couldn't restrain himself from getting attracted to Khushi. And now he knew that the ball was in his court. Everyone was anticipating his response on this hasty decision of Khushi and he clearly knew what his answer would be.

" I am ready if Khushi is ready, Mata." Anant said breaking Arnav's heart but being a young, immature warrior that he was, he still placed his Dharma of a Brother above the dharma of a husband, unknown to the fact that the relationship of husband and wife is always placed above that of the siblings.

But that didn't reduce the intensity of pain in his heart, which caged her image in it. Because now he only had to be satisfied with her images in his heart and her shadows placed miles away from him. Because now their relation was forbidden and forsaken.

She had become a forbidden territory to her own husband, her own love. The pain which Khushi felt surely destroyed her from inside but nevertheless it couldn't even affect the magnitude of love, she had for Arnav. Maybe that is what is called, true love...

But...how many different types of games can destiny play with two hearts?

It united them in a spur of a moment and it even separated them in the same way. Maybe that was the rule of love. True lovers always perish in the fire of their love but their love story remains eternal in the golden pages of history.
