@Samanalyse...yeah I think the track could nicely go the route you've imagined.
I totally see that "textbook" fangirl. But maybe that's why I haven't come to love Rati for Nissar yet... I just don't think the fangirl mentality would lead to a healthy relationship. 😆 So far I feel like she is pushing her ideas of who Nissar "should be" instead of encouraging him to be himself and follow his own dreams.

@malikakas: Good point but I disagree with you a little on the last few lines, which is why I think this pairing is starting to work for me.
Rati is an obstinate fangirl who is determined to see her favorite succeed at all costs, and there is no question that she is a little too pushy by normal standards. But Nissar is not normal... he is a dhakkan, as Meher rightly assessed . I am sure Abeer and many others have been telling him he is good forever but it never sunk in, even when Meher wanted to give him his own show. I think he partly uses loyalty as an excuse when in fact he is too scared to step into the limelight. That's why Rati's characterization as this pushy know-it-all is so very important. She is dealing with that fear in him so well because she's like that; it's just what he needs. For the first time someone is there for him all the time, saying he is amazing sincerely, obviously and repeatedly enough for him to actually start believing it. Nobody but his very own fangirl could pull this off! 😆 Rati's professional advice is questionable at best, and I think Nissar knows that, but what is working for him (and me) are her sincere feelings and the way her deep concern and giddy elation sort of soothe his insecurities and make him take the spotlight without thinking twice.

I actually liked Rati for Nissar in the initial episodes for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Its great for Nissar to have a cheerleader. I guess I just wanted Rati to be a little more mature... to feel like she is a good match for him in the long run.

I am not saying he doesn't need a little bit of fangirling so that he gains confidence-- but what I am wondering is if she would make a good life partner for him? The problem isn't that her professional advice is questionable -- its how she handles it when he refuses or something isn't going her way. The way she reacts-- its like its about her ego instead of what Nissar would want.

@bold: Word.

I am not disagreeing with you on her flaws at all. She does act impetuous and immature when things don't go her way and it is driven to a great deal by the way she wants to see Nissar but what works for them as a couple is that Nissar deep-down wants what she wants too, only he doesn't have the confidence to go after it; she gives him that confidence. The writers are clever in simultaneously giving us a character who Nissar could believably fall for (thanks to the positivity, confidence and attention she gives him) but who can also cause major conflict in the storyline (thanks to her resentment of Abeer) further on.

I also agree that Rati, as she is, is a bad potential life-partner for Nissar. BUT my point is, her growing up and understanding the nuances of relationships, becoming more a part of his life would would make for a great arc from many angles. I would especially love to see that mentor-menthe dynamic between Meher and her, where Meher is forced to defend Abeer to clear Rati's misconceptions. The suspense of Meher/Abeer's past can't drive the show on its own. There needs to be some solid story in the present as well, and I just think they are building an excellent foundation for that.
