@ awida i assume that you are a muslim sister? i am surprised by your comment where you said it's frowned upon if a widow remarries , i know these traditions are same in most south asian coountries but didn't think it would also be rife in middle eastern countries i thought it would be different as in Islam many writings say it is very high status in jannah for the man if he marries a widow .. is that not so? my perception was that we in south asia carried many customs from other religions because of local influences.. sorry if i offend anyone but i thought things would be different in the middle east at least.
