Scared of Indian idol

A very interesting point about today's Indian idol grand finale, which has raked up unprecedented frenzy all across India, with every news channel going on a reporting spree about the new talk of the town, the popularity of Indian idol is seen to be believed.

Now the soaring popularity of Indian idol has caused the other channels which air rival shows to run for cover and adopt cheap tactics.
One show which used to air the repeat telecast on Sunday at 1.30 pm IST (this saturday the trps of both the shows got badly hit by the India-Australia match) suddenly changed its timings to clash with that of II grand finale & the other is telecasting its wild card round at the same time. This is clearly a poor defensive move to draw away viewers from the grand finale & make a dent in II's TRP which they will use as a weapon in the future to show that they were the best. If they have really good content to attract viewers why should they adopt these gimmicks & underhand strategies?

But the main question is will they succeed in their unethical tactics?
