I thought she was a very good actor right from the beginning. Think of her age and think of the fact that she has the most demanding role and then you see her, and you realise what she is pulling off. In the last few episodes, she has grown into her role so much, I'd think she is right there with the actors playing Akhiraj and Mangala. Whether in the episode where Akhiraj goes out to kill Kamli where tension was writ large on her face, or yesterday when she carried her hurt in her eyes and later shed silent tears, the kid was outstanding. She deserves far more appreciation than she gets which maybe because people haven't taken to her character. But that cannot detract from how many different emotions she has had to play-- naughty, smiling, laughing, bubbly, sad, misty-eyed, tearful -- far more than all other characters.
Now to other things. As I said before I'm really put off by this constant talk of genes. How does anyone in the modern world, where the influences of environment and nurturing have been held to be vital factors in determining character, believe that genes are everything? By this token a criminal's son will be a criminal? So mannu is pre-determined to be bad because he has those genes? Is Kundan what he is because of his genes? Then what about Kamli? Why despite the terrible genes, has she turned out to be good? If mother and father are everything, why does Kamli feel nothing for her parents?
Why did Anandi herself have DIL ka rishta first with her in-laws and then with Amol?
Does the fact that Amol has returned his parents prove that all the nurturing she did was nothing compared to the love he is getting from his parents? So has it been proved that A can be a good mother only to her own biological child ? Otherwise she will fail?
Or is it the case that whatever Anandi does and in whichever capacity is always the right thing? Thus when A was nurturing Amol, that was the best thing anyone could do. And now when it is Nimboli, it is only A who can give her the best care and love. Is that so? Then all arguments fall flat.
