I am not going to pick pre-90s because I haven't watched as much cinema from that time to really have an opinion on the actresses. Though I will give a special mention to Sridevi whose work I sparingly watched but liked .

90s: Kajol, Karisma, Madhuri

00s: Rani, Priyanka, Kareena

10s: Alia, that's about it. The only other actress I have seen a spark in is Kriti but it's too premature to put her in the 'best' list. We still have half a decade to go.
