It was a definitely an interesting episode, paving way for what the future might have in store!
We get a sneak peek into how it is living in the Chaubey family. Gajanand ji wants to take charge, make changes and set rules. He goes about by asking Jazz to pray before she eats, teasingly tauntingly Rachita that if and when she gets married if she stays so thin, they'll think she is from a house that doesn't have enough to eat and also asks Amaya why she is so quiet and does she not have anything to say, considering how outspoken she is. Oh and he throws in comparison with his other granddaughter, Neeti, too for good measure. Push-ups mentions how he hasn't just broken a wall but released the shackles around their hearts. The question is.. Have the older shackles been replaced by newer ones? How will the Mathur girls, so used to enjoying the freedom of doing things their own way as GC himself pointed out, react and adjust to the new restrictions that their nanaji plans to place on them? Will there be restrictions on the girls working? On the kinds of clothes they were? Where they go and when? Or maybe I'm just a little too skeptical. Don't get me wrong. I am all for honoring traditions but I also feel as times change, traditions need to be redefined. GC took 20-25 years to realize and accept the truth and forgive his daughter. He isn't a man who changes easily. How will the Mathur girls change him? Or will they? And now that GC has embarked on the topic of marriage, I have a feeling he will be a roadblock in Rama's pursuit of Rachita and ManYa love story too. Neither of the boys match his social stature. Will GC be able to break the shackles of his ego then?
The Sneha-Pushpa scene was a nice touch. It's been 6 years since I married and moved to a different continent but even to this day, I remember the taste of my mom's meals. Nothing I cook ever matches up so the scene resonated well with me.
Oh my goodness Uma! Is there is no end to your insecurities? You love Mantu, he is the only family you know and you are terrified of losing him. But you also know that Amaya loves him; maybe way more than you do. Do you have no regard for the girl's feelings that you are out to rub salt on her wounds by flaunting your delusional wedding in front of her? It's this nature of yours that makes me have zero sympathy for you. I understand your desperation in losing out the one you claimed to have loved even before you knew what love is. But I do not understand your need to hurt Amaya to feel victorious. You ask Mahadev why you didn't get the one thing you wished for all your life? The answer my dear is that you find joy in hurting someone else, your sense of victory is incomplete without rubbing it in Amaya's face. If you had the least bit of respect for the fact that Amaya too lives Mantu, maybe, just maybe, the stars that are aligned in your favor would've stayed that way.
But I love how despite how broken she felt from within, Amaya was so calm, composed and strong in her stand as she told Uma that she pitied her for living in her dream world. I loved her dialogue that just by writing two names on a piece of paper, you can't make two hearts unite. And she also said, if it weren't for the fact that she'd sworn she would say or do nothing, Mantu would've been with her already with such certainty that Uma's palace of delusions suffered a major earthquake..
Now for the guy in question - Mantu! Man! Dhruv portrays the heart broken hero with such panache, it's difficult not to feel for him. For once I didn't mind all the hugs Uma gave him because he really really needed a hug. Like I mentioned in my review yesterday, he looked so lonely. It was a scene that should have shown Uma what a special place she has in his life as his friend, his family, his support system. But of course, that did not happen. Instead, as soon as he revealed it was Amaya he loved, she walked away leaving him in that sad, distraught, lonely and broken state. Shame on you Uma! Your selfishness does not even spare Mantu, the man you love.
The scene also have us a glimpse of how the ManYa love story will be - absolutely, completely, heartwrenchingly passionate. I don't think I can review Mantu's dialogues coz that scene needs to be watched. The way Dhruv has modulated his voice, the subtle use of his facial expressions are just magic. Even Uma did not for a second think of questioning how or why or anything. She got the message with a sure certainty. Kudos to the dialogue writers for such putting words to use so beautifully!
The precap looks more like Mantu is pulling a Ramashrey, where after all the heartache he realizes he needs to do something other than sit around and mop. You go boy! But GC se Zara bachke!
Dialogue of the day - when Mantu tells Uma I love Amaya so much.. Humme darr hai hum kahin deewane na ho jaayein!
Character of the day - GC; he was setting boundaries and expectations for the Mathur girls so smoothly yet firmly that no one even thought of it like that.
Star of the day - who else but My dear Mantu? Here's another hug for you my boy đ¤
Nautanki of the day - Uma.. No explanations needed
Hasi ki dukaan - no one really..
Scene of the day - Amaya giving it back to Uma with the epic dialogue: writing two names on a paper does not bring two hearts close & Mantu's amazing confession scene! Both scenes are tied at first post and definitely worth watching
P.S - special mention to the girl who plays Uma's character. She did a great job of portraying Uma's heartbreak. If I felt even a iota of sympathy today for Uma it was because of the actor's skill!
