On SBS today, they showed how Mona went for a Darshan of Ganpati bappa at the Lal Bagh temple (maybe the Mumbaikers can give more details about this temple). She was accompanied by her mom, and seems to have run into Tassneim Sheikh (Mohini of KSBKBT) there. The 3 had their darshan together.

Later, SBS caught up with them. Mona had on a green salwar. All 3 had forheads smeared with gulal. They were very happy to have got a darshan since there were lakhs of devotees that day. Mona's mom was overwhelmed and had tears in her eyes. She said, "I'm so lucky to have been able to get this darshan with my two daughters." At this, Tassneim gave her a hug and kiss 😳 and said, "Aunty, since you have called me your daughter, I am your daughter from now on."

Mona said it was the first time she was meeting Tassneim, that too at such an auspicious place. Tassneim said that she had tried last year without any luck, and maybe she was destined to do it with Mona.😊

Mona: We are Sikhs so we don't relaly know about the rituals, but i strongly believe in God and that we should remember him at all times, not just in bad ones. I attend the Ganpati festival in my society every year. Last year I went to SIddhi Vinayak to pray for my win in Jhalak.

Tassneim: I have great faith in these festivals and make it a point to observe fasts and go for darshan.

Finally, both thanked Star News for giving them this opportunity. Both girls seemed to have become great friends, and looked excited and touched.šŸ‘

thanks for the update as i was not able to watch sbs today... guess what i myself was at the Lalbaug temple...guess i missed mona by fraction of minutes.. anyways sm trivia for all...

Lalbaug is a place in mumbai. It is famous for its ganeshotsav festival celebrations and is known to have the largest ganesha murti (called Lalbaugcha raja 'The king of Lalbaug or Emperor of Lalbaug') in Mumbai during the festival. This forms one of the heartlands of the Marathi community in Mumbai.

this Lord Ganesh has become popular as it fulfills the wishes of devotees.

heres the pic of lalbaugcha Raja...Ganpati bappa..

thanks again for the update...
