We all know this show from starting of itself has been giving us tracks which are socially relevant as well as quite realistic.
Journey of Urmi from a week, dreamy girl to a mature strong woman has shown many relevant issues from domestic violence to infidelity .From second marriage to double standards of people towards divorced women . Now the way they are handling the Rape issue is praiseworthy.

So what do u think is the real empowerment of women...I thought this is a right forum to talk about

Well in my opinion this show itself is an inspiration, they handles each n every social issue in a very well manner.

The only irritating thing about this show is, dragging, they did PhD in dragging each n every track.

Firstly great post. The issues this show is tackling is very much relevant.
I like how they are handling the rape issue. Along with the kindness and reality, they've shown some rights and regulations that are pertaining to a rape case. But all in all until people, women and men alike stop treating the victim like crap, kuch nahi badalne wala.

Nice post Jugni. Like i said earlier, had not watched pre leap episodes ( ill treatment that too physically was beyond me to watch) but i know that the track was realistic. Many like me may not want to see this but it does happen to many in society and we cant turn a blind eye to it. Women are not treated like men in terms of being a widow/er or divorcee. There are different set of rules for both. If a man is a divorcee, then they sympathise with him saying may be the woman did not take care of the family/him. But in case of a woman they would say she did not try to adjust, must be bad etc etc.
Likewise men/man's family do not like to marry a widow, whereas Women/their family accept a widower whole heartedly. Dont know why the difference in perceptions. For Rape victims, the word Victim only has dictionary meaning since they are treated as culprits. How ghastly is that?

The society needs to change, we need to change. Gandhiji ke principle amal mein lane ka time a gaya hai ( Bura mat dekho, Bura mat kaho, Bura mat suno) Double karke wapis do to people who try to oppress😡

Women empowerment for me is getting equal rights in everything. Not more not less.
I dont like a man offering me a seat to sit in a public transport just because i am a female. If a man can stand, so can i. In a bus i dont even make a man get up from Ladies seat, though i do take the offer if he willingly stands and its a pretty crowded bus.

Since birth there should be no discrimination. What a boy can do, a girl also can do and sometimes better.

right , the way they are handling this issue is praiseworthy..
In this day and age, empowering a women is one of the thing that should be on the forefront..
Empowering women is not just about giving them equal rights , but it also means that there should be absence of discrimination, exploitation, neglect, violence and deprivation and other wrongs that take place against women..
Teach women to fight for their rights .. and teach men to respect their rights, also take it as their duty to help any women ,young or old at the time of distress ..
As well women should learn to self help themselves in any situation.. That's when the meaning and purpose of women's empowerment will be fullfiled...

And it is noteworthy that we see Shaurya standing for Diya's right along with Urmi...he's going to be a character worth following for every man...
