To b a judge one needs to hv dat aura n personality so dat d contestants can luk up to u bt dat is seriously lacking in Lauren..madhuri had class n respect for her came naturally..I can't buy d argument dat Lauren is gud since she is averse wid different dance forms as she has not impressed me wid her judgement skills yet..may b in future she improves bt for now she is nowhere close to madhuri

y dnt ppl make post whether md can ever dance like lauren ??
md with due respect is legendary...was a graceful judge compared to lauren...but reasoning in this thread is dumb...
lauren is a grt dancer bt judging is not her cup of tea... but again she need not to be so much degraded

Well accprding to ne both lauren nd madhuri r disappointing as judges.with madhuri there was too much drama of how she is so amazing,so beautiful nd blah blah nd she was not really a technical judge.
Nd lauren's judging skills r no good either.her comments nd marks hv no connection at all.but yeah lauren is defo a better dancer with better technical knowledge.bt as a judge both fail.
I feel colors always gets these female judges for increasing the glam quotient.

madhuri has good number of fan fallowing in india..

many dont like dance shows but for madhuri they are hooked to jdj in past--

if madhuri is judge instead of lauren then trps will be more by at least-- 0.5 to 0.8

Madhuri is a bigger celebrity in India, than Lauren. No doubt about that. She is a favorite star of many, and is loved and admired by many many people. There is no comparison between her and Lauren.

For the celebrity status as a judge...a more fair comparison should be with Shahid and not with Lauren... 😊

But your question regarding who is a better judge?

As most of the dance style performed on the show are western...from what I have seen this season, Lauren is judging in a way...only a very knowledgeable person can do. Her judging is solid. What she needs to refrain from is giving brownie points for encouragement...that she sometimes does...specially when she is giving a 10. As much as I like Madhuri, I don't think western dancing is her area of strength. Same will apply to Lauren for Indian dances...but I hardly see any of those on the show beyond the one that Deepika did.

As far as we know, Shahid is the new BW judge that has replaced Madhuri not Lauren. Just because Lauren is a female and so is Madhuri, there should not be a comparison between them simply based on gender. That is not only unfair but their gender as a judge should be irrelevant. In my opinion, one shouldn't be judged based on their gender or age but on their ability to help the contestants (and the choreographers) better their dancing and presenting abilities on the show and be a good positive role model for the contestants along with being able to judge the performances.

I have seen that Lauren's judging has not been well-received in this forum (I will not say overall as I have read and heard many positive comments on other social media sites and from other people I know). Lauren brings a different perspective on the judges' panel that wasn't available before. I'm the first one to say that I absolutely love Madhuri and she has always been my favorite actress of yesteryears. I actually didn't even mind all the pallu and flirting drama that came along during Madhuri's times as a jhalak judge. I am very disappointed that Madhuri is not in Jhalak any longer and am still not sure if Shahid is the perfect replacement for her. That being said and coming back to Lauren, yes she is new at judging but she provides a great example of how the contestants should be - she's confident, can dance like a dream with perfect technique and can emote what each performance requires. She has been improving with her comments as a judge since the first episode and I'm sure she will continue improving. She's getting her feet wet and I have confidence in her that she will win all of you guys over.

To me, it's the combination of Ganesh and Lauren that are the replacement of Remo and so far, I prefer Ganesh and Lauren over Remo in terms of comments, dancing styles (with Ganesh providing hip-hop and other dance forms and Lauren providing contemporary, jazz and other western dance forms knowledge) and judging.

So, no there is no comparison between Madhuri and Lauren.
