Anushka Sharma got confused between Abdul Kalam and the freedom fighter Abul Kalam Azad. Sure, it was disappointing to know that the NH 10 actress doesn't know her former President from her freedom fighter.

But she wasn't the only one. Farhan Akhtar too made the same mistake. Yep guys, Farhan! He's a smart cookie and as well-read as they come. And yet, this mistake! Of course, he quickly deleted his tweet once he realised his goof-up.

But that wasn't the outrageous bit. The shocking part was that Anushka was ripped to shreds by users over her blunder. What happened to Farhan? He escaped unscathed.

Hmmm...was it just an oversight on the part of users or did they single out Anushka - who can tell? But it wasn't fair to the actress, no?

People like to go after people who matters. Farhan is boring and very few people care about him. As for anushaka, being Virat's GF has made her very interesting.

fair? everybody makes mistake? But different punishments for different people for same mistake. Happens everywhere.

this is hardly something new...she was the only WAG that got bashed after the WC eventhough many of the others were also there watching the semi final match... i guess news related to her sells, thats the only reason i can think of? 😆

Double standards and sexism.

Alia Bhatt wasn't the only one who didn't know the president of India. Varun Dhawan thought Manmohan Singh was the president just seconds before Alia blurted her answer. Yet she got raked over the coals for it and is still paying for that goof up while no one even remembers that Varun was equally dumb.

bashing karna hai toh dono ki hi karo nahi toh dono ko hi chhod do .. and mistakes hojati hai, as long as she corrected it, why bash her unneccessarily?! twitter is full of vella ppl who have nothing better than to pick on ppl 👎🏼

I am sure he got trolled as well. But of course the person who is more out there will be bashed more than the one who stays in his cocoon. Nothing sexist about it.
