Vivian Dsena: There's no appreciation for sportsmen in India except for cricketers
Not so sporting
He might be a well-known actor today but not many people know that Vivian Dsena has also been a National level football player. And it comes as a surprise that Vivian didn't take up sports as a full-time career. "In Indian sports, there's more of politics than sports. I've faced it, so I chose to take up a career which has a bigger perspective and more creativity, in which there is appreciation at the end of the day. And there's no appreciation for sportsmen in India except for cricketers," says Vivian who was in Lucknow recently.
Dance with me
Vivian says he's become quite choosy about his projects after his show 'Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon' ended. "After Madhubala got over, I heard a few projects but I didn't like any. I was looking for something new on television. Finally, I said yes to 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded' this time, though I have been refusing it for the past two seasons," says Vivian.

Father figure? Nah!
Ask Vivian if his reputation of being haughty and arrogant in real life is preventing him from getting work? "Well, I don't think that's getting in way of my work at all. In both my shows, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, I played my character of a serious and an arrogant guy so convincingly that people think I'm like that in real life too. It's just that I'm not too social and I am too choosy about what I do. Like for example, actors my age are playing fathers, but I'm not ready to play a father on screen to someone who's around my age only. I don't think I look like a father. My contemporaries are doing it, good for them," he says.article link - https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tv/news/hindi/Vivian-Dsena-Theres-no-appreciation-for-sportsmen-in-India-except-for-cricketers/articleshow/48189453.cms
