Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan's comment calling Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon innocent has irked public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. Talking to ABP News, he has warned the actor of legal action if he doesn't take his comments back.

"Salman Khan's comments are contempt of court. He should take his tweets back or we will take legal actions," he said.

He also questioned on what basis the actor called Yakub Memon innocent.

Salman's father Salim Khan has come out in support of the actor, saying everyone is entitled to his opinion.

"Everybody has the right to put forward his opinion. But the comment of a person, who doesn't have knowledge on a subject, is insignificant. Salman is an actor that is why he doesn't know about the case. People should take opinions of experts," he told ABP News.

Superstar Salman Khan has flayed absconding Mumbai serial blast accused Tiger Memon, saying it was he who should be hanged not his brother Yakub Memon. Calling Yakub Memon innocent, he said killing him would be killing humanity. He also appealed to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to send Tiger to India if he is in his country.
