i think lali knows some big secret about shanti devi.because i saw shanti saying,'i hope, its not that lali'
is there any possibility that raghav is shanti,s step son and raghav even doesnt know it?
because, this show does not go with title 'dictatorship vs democracy',it is more like 'partility vs justice'
dictatorship is better than prtiality.
its clearly noticable that shanti hates kaushalya, shivam, preeti and nimmi,i mean her son,s family.i think she even doesnt like raghav, she only fakes love for him to get his salary and operate his family and house.on the other hand, she loves sarla, pari, sonal and amit more than her life.so its total partiality and injustice.like she gave shivam,s room to amit, while nimmi and sonal dancing she gave 100 ruppe for sonal but 1 ruppe for nimmi, but i really got hurt in todays matter, preeti got hurt badly, but not pari, but shanti is only concerned about pari, not one percent for preeti, its really hurting.day by day shanti devi, sarla, amit and pari are getting intolerable...even raghav also, because that fool blindly believes on his mother and sister,s family.

so i highly doubt that if raghav is shanti,s step son or otherwise shanti is like meanest type dadis.

I love your theory about Ragave being the adopted child because for a mother she shows little love to her only son. She despises him his relationship with his wife and with his children.
That day with Nimmi and the clothes, the look or utter disgust on her face that a father should praise his own daughter was nasty. The way she fell to the ground , my God you would think some thing bad happened. Today as well she was trying to make Khushiya look like a Kaam chor and he did not take the bait she got mad... instead he ended up praising his wife for her hard work.
If only she knew what her beloved Sarl's children REALLY DO. With the exception of Sonal who took her father's genes it seems.
But he is the money machine and so is Preety and now Shivam so she has to put up with them!!!
Please Hurry up and turn the tables on Shanti and Sarla it i getting over brearing .

I hope Mr Raghava is Ashanti step son because no mother will treat her son like that she sucks the blood of Raghav and family.
hope Raghav and family open their eyes soon in the name of being elder and respect this woman Ashanti is only dominating Raghav and his family they are all merely a servant forher in disguise of relationship.

Hit the nail right on the head! 👏 In the promos and several interviews and launch video it was stressed that the show is more about autocratic and democratic ideologies between people of different generations. A story based on that thought does sound good but the actual show is far from it. Provided the grandson is not married yet and his bride has not stepped inside the house to show the clash of the ideologies, but what Shantidevi actually is not just about "autocracy". She is a mean & bitter person. Hers is not really just a "bias". She does not like her son's wife and children. There were a lot of examples in the show that showcased her bitterness.

Most profound was the scene where She doesn't tolerate even the smallest smile on Kausalya's face who tries to find her happiness in the flowers she gets from her husband after her last jewelry is snatched away. 😡
She never lets go off a smallest rant/comment/smirk or anything. Autocracy & Respect go hand in hand. But she, does not command Respect.

One day she was outside the house, the daughter-in-law & her children laugh and dance. What would it have been if that lady wasn't in their life! What a life these 4 people are robbed away off. Very sad. Not a day goes by without some hungama. Within seconds their life turns upside down for any reason that would irk Shantidevi! These 5 people would have lead such a peaceful and happy life with Shantidevi was dead. Seriously !

About the stepson theory -
I have no idea if they want to show Raghav as her step son, but I know of a family where this exact thing happens. The family showers love and gifts to their 2 daughters and their children but hardly anything to son and his family. All the children are their own!

I don't think about step son concept. Generally grannies are more attached towards daughter & her children. It's reality. In this show cvs are exaggerating this.

its true that many grannies are more attached towards daughter,s children than son,s children.some grannies are very mean to son,s children thats also true.some grannies are very partial among grandchildren.but, many grannies loves son,s children most also.so,normally maternal grannies are so affectionate, but how will be paternal granny it depends on many factors.bt i think granpops like son,s children most than daughter,s children.bt i gave my 'step son theory' bcoz shanti hates kausalya its understandable [typical mother in law],but she cud love sarla,s children more than raghav,s,it cud be understandable.but she doesnt like them at all, moreover she hates them, like she doesnt even care whether raghav,s children be alive or dead.like she threatened nimmi to lock on that snake room again, which dadi cud be that mean.i know some paternal grandmoms are so mean, but that level mean?!-its only indicating towards that 'step son' theory.but i will be happy if that theory goes wrong, bcoz people sud know about those bitch type paternal grandmoms, which also exist in our society.

I think shanti is an attention-seeker. And she wants total attention from raghav, hence she despises kaushalya n her children.
She must've lost her husband early in her life, n her saas was also mean she mentioned once, that too might make her so. Her jealousy towards kaushalya is evident.
