CHAPTER : 22

Nandini's Room :

Nandini was standing in front of mirror..wearing her earrings..and was continuously bickering...

Nandini : "aiyaapa..aapne use itna monster kyu banaya hai..ek call tak nhi kiya puri raat..MONSTER MANIK..aane do ..milne do..mai bhi baat nahi karungi..samjhta kya hai khudko..."...she was really frustrated..

Just when she heard ..her phone's bell..

Nandini : "jarur usi ka hoga..finally yad aa gai..ki unki ek girlfriend bhi hai..abhi batati hoon.."...and she walked towards the bed to pick up the call...it was Manik's landline number..she answered the call...

Nandini : "so..ab landline number se call karoge..mujhe na tumse baat he nhi karni.."..

Voice : "nandini..ma'am..mai babu bol raha hoon..manik sir ki tabiyat bahut kharab hai..aur nyonika ma'am bhi ghar par nahi hai"..he sounds worried..

Nandini : she start freaking out "what?..but hua kya use..kal tak toh bilkul theek tha..usne kuch khaya.."..she said in one breath..

Babu : "Ma'am sir ko kal raat se fever hai..wo abhi bhi so rahe hai..mene socha apko call karke bata doon.."..

Nandini : "aap..aap uske lie khichdi bana dijiye ..aur juice bhi..mai abhi aa rahi hoon.."..she cut the call..picked her bag and rushed outside..she was very worried...

Manik's Room :

Babu cut the call..and gulped his saliva..and looked in his left side..where MANIK was sitting on his bed comfortably..giving his famous smirk..a piilow was placed in his lap..

Babu : "sir..apne jesa kaha mene kar diya.."

Manik : "good for your health..ab tum jao.."..he said in full Manik's style..with enormous attitude..

Babu moved out of his room and after coming out of lion's den..he stand outside and said after took a sigh of relief..

Babu : "Manik sir se toh bach gaya..agar unhe mana karta ..toh sirf naukari nahi jati..shayad mai bhi bhagwan ke paas pahuch jata..par..Nandini Ma'am bhi kam nahi hai..wo manik sir ki carbon copy hai..unse kaun bachega..mai ek kam karta hoon..mai bahar chala jata hoon..nandini ma'am ke aane se pehle..han..yahi theek rahega.."..he said in worried tone..as he knows very well that if Manik is lion then Nandini is also not less than a lioness..and he ran outside the mansion in order to save his life..

Inside manik's room..Manik was smiling smugly..he rested his head on head board of bed and crossed his hand on back of his head..lay his both leg straight..then put one of his leg on the other as a cross..and said..

Manik : "aahhh..Miss.Nandini Moorthy..you don't wanna marry na..now ..u will come running to me ..now it will be fun.."..he smiled smugly..

Nandini arrived inside the house..and ran upstairs..in Manik's room..

Just when Nandini arrived..he saw her by standing on his room door..peeping downwards..and when he saw her coming upstairs..he ran inside the room and covered himself with a quilt..

Manik's Room :

Nandini came inside and saw Manik lying on the bed..he was fully covered with duvet on him..she get really worried and rushed towards him..

Nandini : "Manik..kya hua tumhe you ok na.."..she asked worriedly..sitting beside him..he just opened his eyes very lazily..pretended to be very weak..

Manik : "aahh..nann..nandiiniii..a..aa..mmm..fff..iii..nn..eee.."...he said in a way as he is really weak..she was more worried now..she quickly placed her hand on his head..but she found no fever..

Nandini : "Manik..tumhara..head..it's not warm..instead of warm..it's cold.."...she said in a confusing tone..

Manik : "haann..wo..because mujhe thand lag rahi hai..i think i..iii..i neeeddd heattt.."...he said all this in very weak voice..

She quickly turned off the a.c..and said cupping his face..

Nandini : "Manik..don't worry..u will be fine..mai hoon na..tumhare sath..mai tumhare black warm coffee laati hoon..you will feel better..mai aati hoon.."...she said in a very loving tone that manik was just admiring her caring attitude towards him..but as soon as she got up from the bed ..he held her hand and said..

Manik : "mat jao na plz..i just need you by my side..your warmth is needed..nothing else will work out.."..he said looking deep in her eyes..

Nandini being so naive ..didn't got his real intention..she sat beside him..and hugged him tight..as she felt..he is down due to cold that's y he need her..so she hugged him..and he quickly covered her in the same duvet and hugged her tightly in his embrace..they both closed their eyes..

(they both were lying peacefully in each other arms..their eyes were close in contentment..forgot everything around them..they were in their own world..everything seems perfect..when they are together..time stopped there for them..)

(She lifted her head..to look in his eyes..he opened his eyes..there were galore love n care in her eyes for him..and he again fell in love with her..she caressed his head with her hands..and he kissed her forehead..yes..they are each other's salvation..)

(she smiled looking at him..and he feel a new energy filled in him..yes..her smile..she herself is strength of him..she gives definition to his existence.. he hugged her again..and they both were again drifted to some other world..now..manik's game plan was totally a forgotten business..he went with the flow of the moment..)

(Now..he start being cozy with her..he kissed her head..then on her arms..she got a little up..he held her securely by her waist..he looked at her in her eyes..then came towards her lips..they were inches apart..she closed her eyes..)

Just when ..Manik was about to claim her lips..the reality hit her..and she realized..he was just faking all this while..she opened her eyes and pushed him and got up from the bed..

Manik : "WHAT?,..kya hua?.."..he asked innocently..as he himself forgot ..that a while ago he were pretending to be a sick patient..

Nandini : "Manik..you are weak already..so ..i don't want you to get more weak.."...she said more innocently ..now it was her turn..to play the same trick on him..and he will be captivated in his own trick..and she was successful..

Manik : "NO.."..he shouted..she gave him a confusing look on which he suppressed his voice..and again faked a weak voice.."but ..i need you na.."..he said in a babyish tone..

Nandini : she wants to play around but his cute antics were giving a tough time to him..she herself want to claim his lips..and suck it..till he goes all breathless..but she somehow controlled her harmones and said "I also WANT you...but i can't risk your health manik.."..she deliberately said WANT word..instead of need..as this mere word will break all the walls which manik has created..and guess what..it worked..he quickly sat down on his bed and said..

Manik : "are..see..am fine..am absolutely fine..kuch bhi nahi hua hai mujhe..,mai toh bas natak kar raha tha..mene he babu se kaha tha tumhe call karne ko..mai ..mai bilkul theek hoon..and..."...he stopped in between and realized what he did just now..that desperate soul blurted out everything in front of her..now she gave him a deadly glare..while he was like..WHERE-TO-HIDE-MYSELF..she quickly grabbed a pillow and start beating him..he jumped out of bed..she was chasing him in all over the room..while manik was running for his life..

Nandini : "Manik malhotra you are so dead today..",..she was shouting ..while he was running..in the whole room..

Manik : "nandini..don't please..atleast have some mercy..am your officially boyfriend..aaahhh..nandini nahi please.."..he tried to black mail her..but to his dismay..she threw the pillow on the bed and grabbed a wooden flower wase from the table and threw at him with full force..and he yelled in pain as it directly hit on his leg..

Nandini : "you are such a monster manik.."..she left the fight in mid and grabbed her bag and stormed out of the room..

Manik ran downstairs..towards her..he came in front of her..blocking her way..she gave him a glare..Whole malhotra mansion was empty..so luckily..there was no one..to witness the tom n jerry fight..

Manik : "acha baba am sorry.."..he held both his ears while saying this..

Nandini : "really manik..sorry?..this is what you wanna say is..tumhe pata bhi hai..mai kitna dar gayi thi..i was hell scared..how can u do this to me.."...she start beating him with her hand..and he hugged her tight..she protested for some minutes..but all in vain..as his grip on her was really tight..soon..she rest her case..and reciprocate the hug..

After sometime..Manik found her relaxed and said.,.

Manik : "so..itni care karti ho meri..phir why u don't wanna marry.."..she opened her eyes on his words and moved out of his grip and said..

Nandini : "who said i don't wanna marry?...but u didn't asked me though.."...manik was confused on her words and asked..

Manik : "are now..what does it mean?.."..he asked confusingly.,.

Nandini : "manik..you should ask me too..but no..you were ordering me..you should propose me properly.."...

Manik : "really?.,..nandini ..you love me..i love you..now..why you need a proposal?.."..he said in a straight voice ..

Nandini : "areee..what do you mean by..why i need a proposal..ofcorse i want you to propose me..otherwise i won't marry you.."..she said straight away..she turned her back to him..and stand after crossing her hands around her body...he just gave NOW-WHAT-IS-THIS look..but soon a mischievous smirk appear on his face..

He came close to her ..like really very very close..he put his hand on her stomach from back and yanked her closer..her back hit on his chest..she put her hand on his hand which was on her stomach..he came close to her ears..and said..

Manik : "so you have decided.."..he said in a husky voice..he bit her earlope..and she closed her eyes in anticipation..he kissed her bare shoulder..she tighten her grip on his hand even more..and he smirked at her every reaction on his touch..he gently start tracing her bare back with the back side of his palm..as she was wearing a backless top..his every touch was making her body surrender to himself..he turned her around and made her face him..he again asked..this time his lips was on his neck..

Manik : "you have decided that you won't marry me.."..she was not in her senses..his touch was making her insane..she lost her sanity..he kissed her on his neck..and bent down on his knees..she was still standing closing her eyes..he gently picked her top a little upward..and kissed on her bare stomach..she bit her lower lips..in order to suppress her moans..just when he was about to open her jeans button..she made him stop and he looked at her..she nodded a no to him...he stand straight and again hold her from her waist..

Manik : "miss..nandini moorthy..you just can't deny me...so say..you will marry me or not.."...he said in his own attitude..looking into her eyes..and yes he was right..she can't deny him..as he hold so much passion in his eyes ..that she just can't deny anything..but this time..she will definitely..she quickly moved out of his room and said..

Nandini : "will think.."..and she showed him her tongue..and start running all over in the mansion..while Manik was chasing her...

Manik : "nandini stop..".. He was shouting while running behind her..

Nandini : " catch me if u can Mr.malhotra..."..she said while running..turning her head to him and showed her tongue and ran upstairs...

She reached Manik's room...

Nandini : "ummm..where to hide...".. She said while looking all around the room and she found MANIK'S WORDROBE ..her fav place to hind..she ran towards it and opened it..just when she was making some space to sit inside it..a diary fell down from it..she picked it up.. MANAN was beautifuly engraved on the cover of the diary..she opened it..and soon her eyes were all teary..tears were brimming down from her eyes...
Suddenly a pair of hands wrapped around her stomach.. She didn't reacted ..as she very well knows the owner of that warmth..

Manik : " see..I caught u..now say..u really don't wanna marry me.."..he said while nuzzling her nose in the crook of her neck..she instantly turned around and hugged him tight..he was startled with her sudden act..she was sobbing badly..he was now more worried.. He start rubbing her back..to soothe her..but she wasn't stopping at all..

Manik : "nandini..baat kya hai..u r scaring me..plz..princess..say na..kya hua..plz..".. She clutched his shirt in her fist from back..

Nandini : " Manik..let's get married... "..her sudden words made him stun..as she herself was telling him a while ago ..to propose her properly.. She herself was making him to run after her..now what happened all of a sudden...he was worried..he broke the hug and cupped her face..planted a kiss on her forehead..she was looking down..still weeping..

Manik : " what happen nandini..plz say something.. "...he asked her very lovingly...she showed him the diary which was in her one hand..he looked at the diary then again at her..he knew ..what must have she read..he hugged her tightly in his embrace...

After some time..Manik made her sit on the bed..she was still holding his shirt in her fist and her head was on manik's chest..his one hand was on her shoulder and one hand was on her's hand from which she was holding the diary tightly..she wasn't crying now...

Manik : "kuch bologi nahi.."..

Nandini : "you suffered a lot manik..agar us raat mai AMAAYA ke sath milkar woh plan nahi banati..to tumhe kabhi itna suffer nahi karna parta na..mai nahi thi..when you needed me the most.."..her voice was very weak..

Manik : "meri nandini hamesha mere sath thi..jese mai tumhare sath tha..hamesha.."..she was very touched by his words and moved out of his hold and looked in his eyes..

Manik : "aese kya dekh rahi ho.."..he asked as she was continuously staring at him..

Nandini : "aapne aap ko..tumhari aankhon mei.."..she said with a smile..and he smiled broadly at her answer and hugged her tight..

After some time..she was lying in manik's lap and he was running his fingers in her hairs...today the role is reversed..

Nandini opened the diary and was about to start reading..when manik stopped her and said..

Manik : "no need to read it nandini..i don't wanna see you shedding tears.."...he said in a caring tone..she looked upwards in his eyes and said..

Nandini : "but i want to shed those tears..which you had shed in my absence..sirf tum par he nahi..tumhare aansuon pe bhi mera hak hai manik.."..he was again touched by her wants and bent down a little..he kissed her forehead and she start reading..

Kis gunaah ki de rahe ho saza,

zinda hoon,ya maar chuka,

mera khudse bhi rishta naa raha..
