She woke up snuggling next to him. She felt the warmth of the blanket and knew it was him who had done it. Opening her eyes, she smiled as her assumption was right. She reached out to caress his hair, but backed off as he would wake up if she did. Letting him be, she got up to get ready...

Remembering what he said yesterday as she sat down in front of the mirror adjusting her loose tee, she looked back to his sleeping form. She wondered if he would have his gaze on her again like he did yesterday. With hopes that he would noticed her appearance, she walked over to him to wake him up only to be stopped by the ringing doorbell.

Opening the door to the maid, she told her all the needed to made for breakfast and lunch. Walking to the spare room, she saw Mihika had made the room hers completely in 2 days. The luggage she had brought from her hotel yesterday was half spread on the room while she was asleep cuddling her phone like she or Raman would cuddle onto Ruhi. Giggling at her analogy, she walked over to her sister waking her up after threatening to take away her phone. As Mihika lazily got up, Ishita walked back to her room to wake up Raman.

Walking into their room, she saw Ruhi and Raman asleep with the childish pout on their faces. The similarities between the two never failed to warm up her heart. Maybe their similarities were the reason she was so fond of both of them. Coming out of her thoughts as Raman turned in his sleep, she walked over to him shaking his shoulders knowing it was enough to wake, she headed over to the wardrobe.

"Slept well?" she asked setting out his clothes for him while he gave her a smile and walked over to pick up Ruhi.

"I did, but you wouldn't have if I didn't wake up last night." She sighed knowing he didn't like her not sleeping with a blanket.

"Raman, I didn't want to disturb you."

"It's not disturbing if it's for you or our children. You were close to shivering last night. Don't do such things again."

"But Raman I couldn't bring myself to wake you up. You were in such a deep sleep."

"From now on I'll sleep after you if that's the case. Problem solved!" he winked at her while she pouted. He smirked and walked away picking up his towel after he handed Ruhi to her. As he reached the door of the bathroom, he looked back.

"Looking nice. Following my advice, right?" he asked her as he bit his lower lip and raised his eyebrows. Though this was what she wanted, she couldn't help look away again. The way he looked at her made her feel beautiful. She felt like dressing up for him, she felt the want for is compliments, she liked getting his attention. As Ruhi grabbing her earrings, she came out of her thoughts and realized he was already gone inside the bathroom while she was lost in her own world. She looked at Ruhi and pinched her...

"Why does your Papa do this to me?!"

The infant cooed and waved her arms happily while Ishita walked out with her to feed her...

"Ishita, I'm going to a client's office today. It's a couple of hours away so I'll be a bit late tonight." He told her as he came out all ready to go while she sat eating her breakfast.

"Okay that's fine. Just not too late and make sure you eat between your work." She got up & handed him a mug of coffee and then walked away a bit disappointed to the kitchen as he would be away all day. He walked behind her under the pretext of getting sugar.

"Yes Ma'am. And you take care of yourself. I'll try to call in between." He whispered quietly as Mihika was busy on her phone.

"Mihika you watch your sister. Make sure she takes her vitamins on time. And please if possible get her to rest." He said getting his sister-in-law's attention.

"No problem Jiju, I'll manage Akka. But she will have to watch Ruhi chuhi. She doesn't come near me."

"Jiju ki chamchi! 2 days ago he was Mr. Raman Bhalla and now he's your sweet Jiju!" she playfully got angry as she handed her steaming idlis. Raman watched the banter between the sisters smiling as he finished up his coffee. Mihika looked at her innocently...

"Akka, it's a secret! I can't tell you. And don't worry you're always first for me!" she hugged Ishita getting shrugged off as Ishita faked anger.

"Oh so now Jiju is going out, I'm your favourite. You're like Ruhi! Always wants attention from everyone!"

"Alright bye everyone! Ishita these two attention seekers will tell me if you work, so watch out. Mihika, take care of your Akka. And my darling Ru, I'm going out for work, don't ignore Mihika Chi-thi, chithi!" He earned a smile from Ishita and Mihika as they watched him cuddled Ruhi and give her a giant kiss. As Ruhi refused to let go of his shirt and sit on her play rug, Ishita left her breakfast to take her from him. Sadly pulling Ruhi from him, she bid him goodbye with Ruhi's hand.

"Try to come back soon." She quietly as she followed him to the door.

"I will..." he said back just as quietly.

He lied to her. For the first time he had lied to her. She thought as she sat on her bed patting Ruhi was not sleepy at all today. He said he would try to come back, but he didn't. She looked back at the clock and it seemed to be working slowly according to her. Little did she know it was just the mere impatience in her as she wanted him home now.

All day she had waited for one message or call from him, but she got nothing. She was angered, upset and disappointed at the whole thing. How important was his work that he couldn't spare a few second to type in a "how are you" or "hi" on his phone. But what she didn't know what that he had been just as eager to talk to her, but was genuinely too caught up to call her.

So while Raman Bhalla was busy finishing up his talks with his client, his wife sat at home sulking over her day. She had spent her day visiting Vandita only to watch her and Mihika bond while she played with Shravan and Ruhi. Then when they came back home for lunch, she was teased endlessly by her sister about their movie and dinner last night and about the texts she had sent yesterday. Little did her sister know that it only made her miss Raman more as she remembered yesterday. She wished they would have been together today like yesterday, but his work was important. As she was convincing herself about his reasons to go a little out of the city for work, she remembered she needed to finish of some of her won office work and got busy with that passing her time. Then she had taken Ruhi down to the society park where she was instantly the center of attention much to the chubby child's delight. She found kids to be her biggest weakness as playing around with them was the only time of day that seemed to pass by...until she thought of Raman with kids. Finding herself again in his thoughts, she looked at her phone only to face dejection again. As she walked back to their apartment, she had found herself feeling dizzy and ended up sitting on the stairs for a while until Mihika came by helping her up and carrying Ruhi who went into her arms peacefully for once. The rest of her day until dinner was spent resting in bed as Mihika was not giving her any chance to get up unless Ruhi needed to be changed or fed.

And here she was now, still sitting in bed thinking about him. She started to wonder if he had eaten knowing he would fully engrossed himself in his work and needed to be reminded of such things. Then she wondered if he would have left for home by now and if he did, why was it taking so long. She knew he had mentioned the offices being about 2 hours away from their place, but she couldn't help worry from cropping up in her head. She found herself looking at the clock and her phone again to only see 11pm written on both and nothing from him. As she put her phone away, much to her delight, his name flashed as the phone vibrated. She immediately picked up...

"Hello Raman!"

"Hey...been busy so I couldn't call. Sorry."

"It's okay. Work's done?"

"Yea, it went well. But I'm so tried!"

"Then come home soon."

"I don't even want to drive, just want to sleep now."

"Careful while driving!" she said thinking about his talk about that accident last night.

"I am! Anyways how are you and Ru?"

"Ruhi's busy playing with a new toy her Chitti bought. Mihika's bribing her with toys now." He chuckled over the line and turned off his radio as she could tell before he asked...

"And you?"

"I'm fine. Been bored all day."

"Why? Mihika's there and of course Ruhi's always keeping you on your toes."

"I don't know. I mean I'm still alone. Mihika's downstairs on the phone and Ruhi's doing her own thing. I have no work to do and so it's boring."

"Don't worry. I'm coming soon and you can then you can talk to me all you want. Narrate our drama queen's stories to me."

"Who Ruhi or Mihika?" she smiled as she heard him chuckle again.

"Anyways dinner's done."

"Yes...and before you ask, I had everything on time and I'm fine. Oh and baby's fine too as I ate and am resting."

"You and resting?! Not possible!"

"It's true! Come home fast and see for yourself."

"We'll see once I reach home. I'll probably be there in maybe 30-40 minutes."

"I'll wait for you..."

"Please sleep..."

"Even Ruhi's awake..."

"Using your daughter as an excuse."

"No I'm not! She's awake...Ru talk to daddy." She brought the phone closer to Ruhi who squealed at the mention of her dad. A huge smile appeared on all three faces as she brought the phone back to herself. Getting up suddenly from the bed, she continued talking to him...

"Raman...I..." her voice become feeble and he sensed something was wrong.

"Ishita..." he heard a small noise like she had put her phone down somewhere.

"Ishita! Hello? Ishita, say something."

"..."

"Ishita what happened, what aren't you speaking?"

"..."

"For God's sake say something! You're scaring me!"

"..."

"Ishita!"

Hearing no response on the other line, he hung up the phone picking up speed on his car. He tried to call Mihika, but her phone was busy and he remembered Ishita mentioning the same. His anxiousness was growing as he knew something had happened, but didn't want to bring bad thoughts into his mind. What else could he do besides drive as fast he could? He needed someone to help her if she needed it and to check if she was okay. He cursed himself for not leaving the meeting earlier or asking her why she was resting when she was never the type to do so. That's when it struck him...the neighbours. Vandita or Bala would be home right and they could go check on her. He reached over to the phone he threw on the other seat in frustration. With sweaty palms and slight blurred vision due to tears forming unknowingly, he called Vandita and Bala's home phone. After 3 rings, when he was about to hang up close to sobbing, he heard a female voice say hello.

"Vandita! Oh thank God you picked up!" he said in relief and thanks God silently. But she could tell on the other line something was wrong.

"Raman...what happened? You sound panicked!"

"Vandita please go to my house. Ishita was talking to me and suddenly went silent. Please go check!" he ordered her with a choking voice as he thought of Ishita being hurt in any way.

"Okay calm down. I'll see."

"The spare key is in the same spot."

"You just relax, I'm by the door."

"Please hurry, I'm scared!"

Fumbling with the keys, Vandita opened the door to hear Ruhi's shrills. She ran to the room horrified at the sight. Ishita had fainted and fallen down unconscious. Vandita picked up the crying Ruhi and Raman's anxiety grew hearing the cries on the phone.

"Vandita! Please tell what happened!"

"Raman hurry and come home!"

"What happened?"

"Ishita fell, she's unconscious!"

"What...She...fell...but...the...how...I'm coming! I'll send a doctor and...and I'll be there soon!"

He couldn't think anymore. Trembling hands managed to scroll through his contacts to the doctor's name. He could hardly speak and between his sniffling and tears managed to tell the doctor what happened and to rush to Ishita. As he hung out the phone, his hands hardly had any control left on the steering and Ruhi's cries along with Vandita's words rang in his ears making more tears run down his face.

If anything happened to her today he wouldn't be able to forgive himself. He could only imagine what Vandita had told him and ended up chiding himself for leaving her alone. But then calmed down as he remembered Ishita's voice. She wanted him home then and now he needed to be there for her and with her. Wiping off his tears, all he could think about what going home to Ishita and engulfing her into a hug & making sure she was safe.

"Ishita!" he rushed into his room passing the tensed out Bala in the living room. He found her getting up with the help of Mihika who noticed him entering and looked at him with apologetic eyes. Slowly entering with wobbly feet, his eyes didn't noticed the sorry Mihika or the upset Vandita. He could only see her...

She smiled at him and he smiled through his tears. She was okay. The worry, fear, tension he had been threw in these past 15 minutes all gone as he saw her smile. Then he started to notice the weariness on her face and her paleness. He found the tears returning and he managed to sit by her on the bed. He looked at her and held her hands with one of his and the other hand gently touched her cheeks...

"How did this happen?"

"I'm fine Raman." She took her hands and grabbed both of his. He shook his head negatively and pointed to her forehead.

"How?! Look at this bruise..." he ran his hands over her bruise gently as she took his hand back into hers.

"Raman...it's okay. I managed to sit on the floor when I became dizzy, so it wasn't a bad fall when I went unconscious." She tried to tell him she was fine so he could relax for a moment as his face showed his inner feelings.

"One day I go away and this happens...I told you to take care of yourself." He told her in a soft yet disappointed voice.

"I'm sorry...don't scold me..." she pouted hiding her smile. A faint smile lingered on his lips as he asked again...

"But how did all this-"

"Raman, I'm fine. Don't be so scared."

"Ishita can't tell you how scared I was seeing you. I could imagine what he went through." Vandita interrupted the conversation of the two.

"Thank you for coming on time." Raman told her gratefully.

"It's ok. But please take care of yourself." Vandita looked at Ishita.

"I will. I don't know how all this happened. I was..." But Vandita didn't let her finish her sentence, instead she interrupted again and shocked all the people in the room except for Bala who had just entered to have this conversation...

"But I do. Ishita I know you're pregnant..."
