Media don't verify any information before publishing, they r just in a hurry to post whether its fake Chinese movie sign up or fake tweets. Once its posted by 1 media, its circulated by every media house because they are lazy to research any new article. Did u see its say, "mid day quoted" . TOI itself is big PH why won't they research and publish in their own name. its all PR work 😉
