Book of the Month Discussion Thread - Page 2

Regional i am not sure as well. maybe once we start we can see how to involve that?

It's a good idea.

THis is such an awesome idea. Maybe we can start off with something simple like "Have you read these books?" and list the popular books and see how many of the books we have actually read ( from the list).

And I loveee these ideas given previously by all of you...Parm, Krishna, Kalyani, Koeli Di, etc...(sorry if I forgot someone)
Although I'm a bit baffled with so many ideas all at once, I have some views to prevent...
One newsletter can be published each month which would give a couple of book suggestions in each genre...
Then the book of the month...
And some memorable quotes also...
And some info about any one legendary author...(all of this is coming from all that you peeps have already said)
And then, there can be a special book mention too...you know, some books that aren't just stories...maybe some travelogue types or historical ones or regional ones (we can keep this occasionally or maybe conduct a poll each month for this special mention book) it will be different from the book of the month which would be discussed...
Then, one more addition which I strongly feel about...
As Books are an ocean of knowledge, we can even keep a section of learnings in the NL...sort of a memoir from a reader about something he learnt from the book in discussion (it will be put in the succeeding NL, ie week 1's learning would be put in week 2's NL) if the learning experiences are short ones, we can put in more than one...it will bring to reality a new dimension of literature and make reading a more enriching experience...
We can also put in fanfic recommendations along with the book in the same NL...or we can even post an extract from the favorite fanfic...it can also be one from one of our very own IF writers... ;)
Andd...maybeee some tips for writers too, maybe not...

So...that's that...my inputs for this great great great idea of NL...a name suggestion from my side can be...
Bibliophile's abode (this can be altered to make it even more brilliant)

Aandnndd...we also give a Wattpad story recommendation each month
And we also name some of the best adaptations of the book of the month...
And I also think that we should give creative titles to each section on the NL...
Gosh! It feels as if this NL is going to be extensive!
