I would like to analyse Radhika's character here and give my view about the character as the 4 shades she has portrayed.
1. Radhika as a daughter:
Radhika has always been an obedient daughter and hence her parents have always trusted her and her decisions. She proved to be a girl of values when she accepted to get married to her friend Saral, not because she loves Saral, but because her sister and family decided that Saral is the best groom for her. She wanted to be a writer first and then get married and hence she spoke to her parents about the job offer and she did not just choose to run to Mumbai after getting an offer. She took her parents permission and left which proves she is a very good daughter who obeys her parents.
2. Radhika as a friend:
Radhika has always believed in friendship as a relationship stronger than a blood relation. She believes in being a loyal friend and if she gets to know her friend is being cheated or being lied to, she immediately turns to her friend and shares her views about the partner. When her friend told her to keep her away from her BF as he has hurt her a lot and lied to her, she made sure she doesn't let her friend to be hurt more as she knew the BF doesn't love her. She dint care what could have happened to her, but she just wanted to protect her friend. She proved that she is a TRUE friend and anyone would love to have her as a friend as she cares about her friends and doesn't like anyone hurting them. Just like a mother protects her daughter.
3. Radhika as a partner:
Radhika was taught by her parents good values and morals and hence she treated her partner just the way her parents wanted her to behave as. When he fiance tried to misbehave with her, she kept quiet as if she would speak rudely, the matter could become worse. She also tried to ignore her fiance's short temper as she trusted her friendship with him and felt he has a good heart and she could handle his temper. She thought he also has some flaws and she could make adjustments as being her friend, he is a good person. When she realized that he isn't good for her and this would hurt her family, she tried all possible ways to mend her relationship and also gave up her career for him but when she realized there isn't a solution to this, she decided to break the relationship before it could cause further damage.
4. Radhika as a woman:
Radhika is a girl who is an obedient partner, a sincere and loyal friend and a loyal partner. She wanted to achieve her dreams and be an independent woman of today. She is a girl who doesn't get scared for herself and hence when she was left stranded, she dint lose hope but stood strong. She also fought with a con man and defended herself. She believes in taking a stand for herself but not when it comes to her family as for her, her family is her backbone. When she knew her family would support her broken relationship, she stood strong and broke it (as she had already given it many chances before).
People may consider Radhika as an interfering friend but when it comes to the show, Radhika has never tried to break the relationship but the relationship was broken by her friend. She never tried to fall for her friend's BF but it's the friend's BF who fell for her. She never tried to hurt her fiance and go against his wish but her fiance forced her to break the relationship. She hasn't ever made her family be ashamed of her and she has always made them proud. Only because she is a girl who did this, she was misunderstood but as a girl, Radhika has never crossed her line and has been loyal in all her relationships.
