Heyloo.. It's been a really long time since I wrote something here..
Anyhow, Episodes post the confession have exposed everyone's real faces - Be it Kabir's soft side that he keeps under wraps, Ananya's mischievous antics that had gone on a holiday, Ronnie's protectiveness towards Ananya, Richa's judgemental remarks regarding KaYa's relationship and to top it all, Malvika's dirty tricks..
It seems as though the writers want to put KaYa through every possible test before we watch them walking away into the sunset with hands held in each other's blissfully.
For a man who was locked up in his past, holding grudges against his wife for her abandonment of him, Kabir had stopped living for himself, contrary to what he portrays on the professional front.
Yes, he comes across as a hot-shot senior journalist with an entire channel to run, and lots of authority that comes along with it, but on the personal front - he was a lonely, brooding man who had guarded himself with dense walls, lest someone broke him all over again.
Accepting the love he deserves was the first step that he took towards building a present, and a future with the woman he loves.
His love for her is genuine, pure and consuming. There are no masks anymore; he has revealed all of him to her.
His mature stance on why they shouldn't be revealing their relationship at KKN, his little -crazy-filmy efforts to cheer her up, or his Badresh Kutty act that Kabir Sharma would have pulled off only for his equally daringbaaz Jaan, it all speaks volumes about the love that he harbours in his heart for Ananya.
He knows how it feels like to be disappointed by someone close to you. He, himself had lost the ability to trust and to love, and he wouldn't let the same fate befall his love. This man will never let her down, in any way no matter what life throws his way.
Strikingly, the age difference between them, the social stigma of a divorcee dating his employee did not stop Kabir from confessing his love to Ananya. Neither did Ananya think of the repercussions of their relationship on her personal and professional life. Instead, they both took the plunge, without a fore-thought hoping that they wouldn't have to regret later.
To add to it, Ananya simply refuses to listen to anything related to his past - While that displays her immense, blind faith in the man she loves, this very decision of hers shall be the root cause of all her insecurities and pain, in the days to come.
By the looks of it, Malvika might succeed in her mission to break the infallible trust shared between KaYa. And if the spoilers are to be believed, Kabir's outburst and Ananya's hurt reaction to it might break a few hearts around, but I feel it's quite required for them to be able to face reality.
Nothing about Kabir is the way it appears to be. I think his angry outburst could be a way to deliver a message across in disguise. Richa is sulking, and he knows. Malvika doubts them, he knows it too. But there's not much he can do to defend Ananya or their relationship while still maintaining his and her dignity while at work. So he might have to resort to creating a scene intentionally.
But will Ananya understand his true intentions, and hence the complexities that Kabir Sharma is infamous for?
This incident might serve as an eye-opener for her..
Right now, they're both basking in the warmth of their new love. As exciting and pleasing as this phase might appear at the outset, there are several other ingredients that are crucial for a relationship's long shelf-life.
Kabir trusts her professionally, and loves her more than everything dear to him.
But while at work, she is still his junior. How will he protect her every time Malvika or later, Shreya decides to rattle her up? Will his love for her suffice then, or will he be forced to transform into the E-I-C and treat her just the way he would deal with any other employee?
Will their professional tiffs affect their intimate relationship? Hell yess!
And it'll be quite an uphill task for them to balance both.
Maybe Ananya might soon realise that she'd rather not decode Kabir's codes while at work.. Then again, it isn't her fault that she is supposed to hide her relationship with him from the world.
The obvious signs - The downside of dating your mature Boss. Ananya has just started experiencing em.
They have to learn to be able to face the world, and hence the repercussions of their decisions. They're in love, and while it is being kept a secret, someday it will be out, open for speculations and ridicule.
Today, Richa has pointed fingers at her, very soon, the entire office will be gossiping about them. While Ananya says that she trusts him blindly, and Kabir is in a tension-free, comfortable zone as far as their relationship is concerned, are they prepared to face it all?
We all await ex-Mrs. Sharma's entry, primarily so we're exposed to the demons in Kabir Sharma's past. The reason behind their divorce, him resorting to alcohol, his aggressive-short-tempered attitude, his relationship with his estranged brother - all of it.
Let's assume Kabir is unaware of the storm brewing towards him, but perhaps Shreya is better prepared to face her past and probably even has a few schemings up her sleeve. To make things worse, she believes that her husband cheated on her, and hence must be holding him accountable for their failed marriage.
A scorned woman, with power in her hands will be a lethal force to reckon with.
The merger will obviously bring along many changes, as it happens in reality. People lose their jobs, the ones retained have to fight to retain theirs, the management changes bring in new policies.. We might see similar things unfolding at KKN..
Their lives are about to change, and they're kinda clueless about it. We're bound to see some sparks flying when Kabir and Shreya meet again. They both have several unresolved issues between them which need closures, but unfortunately I do not think there will be any Peace-talks between the two sides.
Khalid has already hinted, enough times that the new company and its executives will hold a greater control over KKN than the present management. The news content, operations, professional affiliations, everything stands on the brink of a massive change.
However, Kabir looks unperturbed.
Of course, the news must have bothered him, but perhaps he isn't willing to jump the wagon to join Khalid. Like he says, he carries his resignation with him daily. If not KKN, he is in a position wherein any rival Channel would hire him the day he decides to quit/or is sacked.
Ditto for Ananya, I think. The girl knows she has immense talent and her career will not end if she ever gets sacked. Besides, she has enough experience with resignations and reinstatement.
But.. They're people with self-respect, and virtue. Though their professional lives look sorted, the intimate relationship that they share will be targeted, exposed, ridiculed and put to test, time and again. By circumstances, by Malvika, by Manav and of course, by Shreya.
Everyone has a breaking point, and a weak nerve. For Kabir, it is his past, and Ananya, respectively.
When the time comes for him to face battles on both fronts, we might get to witness an entirely different version of Kabir Sharma, altogether.
He will have to face, endure and conquer every weakness and vulnerability of his.
Ananya too has some hard times coming her way. Richa's judgemental remarks, although seem kinda irritating to a KaYa shipper, are hard-hitting and real.
Ananya's blind trust in Kabir will be put to test, her worth as a reporter will be questioned and she will have some not-so friendly advice delivered to her by her friends, and perhaps even her mother.
How this child-like innocent woman matures into a fine, strong lady capable of withstanding every blow delivered at her shall be a soothing sight to the eye..
While it does seem like the Episodes are being stretched to accommodate light-hearted moments and highlight all possible hurdles in KaYa's relationship - be it Richa, Malvika or their EiC-Junior reporter equation at work, perhaps the stage is being set to introduce the tornado that shall rip everything apart, albeit only for a short while.
Friendships, professional affiliations, job security, and lastly KaYa's relationship - everything shall go through the grinder, very soon.
We'd have to patiently watch the picture unravel itself..
I, for one am really liking the pace of the story, and the subtle but bold touch of reality that is given to KaYa's relationship.
Be it Kabir's flirtatious Kutty avatar, or Ananya's seduction session in his office, or their sudden transformation into the serious EiC or Ananya's reaction to Richa's disappointment - every emotion, every scene has its own flavour and story to tell..
Coz like Mr. Sharma says Love makes you do the unthinkable.. Cross my heart, call me insane but I strongly feel -the best of KaYa has yet to come.. š
