Warne was cleared of allegations made a month ago
Hampshire captain Shane Warne has escaped a one-match ban after the Aussie star was found not guilty of using foul language to crowd members.

A disciplinary panel cleared Warne of allegations made after a Pro40 match against Sussex at Hove on 12 August.

"The panel found Mr Warne not guilty. ECB will make no further comment on this matter," said a statement.

Warne already has six penalty points and a further three before May 2009 will lead to a ban.

Umpires Roy Palmer and Nigel Llong reportedly did not mention the 12 August incident in their official match report.

And Warne said last week: "It didn't happen. I've done all the right protocol and followed the right procedure."

Warne was given six points under the code of conduct for disputing a leg-before decision against him in a County Championship match against Kent in May.

Under new rules, any player who amasses nine points in a two-year period is automatically suspended.
