The Big Swap!

Apparently, the present set of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is unlucky and the show is not fetching the desired TRPs, so Ekta has decided to swap it with Kayamath sets

Ekta Kapoor is very possessive about the three shows that made her a household name - Kyunki..., Kahaani… and Kasautii… After holding forth for almost six long years, the shows seem to be losing some of their sheen. With generation leaps and the old guards falling, the TRPs of the shows are going downhill too. So, Ekta is coming up with all strategies in the book to retrieve the lost ground.

Recently, when she realised that one of her flagship shows, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, wasn't getting the desired ratings, she was sure it had something to do with the location. Unlucky sets, she said. So she decided to swap the location with her relatively new show Kayamath.

So now Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii will shift base to Sankraman, studio number 8, where Kayamath is being currently shot. Interestingly, Kahaani… was originally being shot from this location before Kayamath was launched and Kahaani… took a generation leap.

Almost all flagship shows of Balaji Telefilms were initially being shot at the Sankraman studios. All of them were equally popular with the viewers. These sets are considered lucky for Balaji shows. Now with dipping TRPs the production house has decided to switch its sets and shift Kayamath to Klick Nixon at Saki Naka.

Says a source, "After many Balaji shows lost their TRPs, Ekta, in a meeting with her writers and technicians, asked them to pull up their socks, immediately. Kahaani… is one of her old shows and is very dear to her as well. Sankraman is very lucky for her as the shows shot there have done well. Kahaani…, which was being shot there earlier, was shifted to Klick Nixon; while Kayamath is being shot in Sankraman on the sets of Kahaani… for the past eight months. For superstitious reasons and the fact that they want Kahaani… back on track they will now swap the sets of the two shows. The design of the set will not be changed."

Says Meetu, creative head of Kahaani…, "We are still discussing how we should alter it to suit Kahaani…"

Creative head of Kayamath, Doris Dey, confirms, "Yes, it's true that we are shifting our sets. It was Ekta's decision to change the sets. The present Kayamath set is lucky and it's also the original set of Kahaani… But it will look odd since the present Kayamath set is very modern while Kahaani… set has a traditional look."

Why doesnt Ekta Mai do the Kahani Ghar Ghar kii viewers a favour, and change the current storyline and tell the creatives to pull their socks up and spin out some decent storylines, instead of going ahead with this ridiculous set swap...am sure the trps will shoot right up😛, and while they making changes, pls dish out a new brain for Miland

yeah i agree she shood just change the story linee i love the current house for kahaani!!😡

hey but if the set was gud for kayamath and its doing well on TRP then why does she want to swap it and bring it down!!!

Oh dear lord, with this shooting set swap, I hope Kayamath doesnt go downhill and have a rotten story line... as if the current one is any better... its jus tolerable compared to the rest of the Ekta sagas!

Kya pata set ka unlucky hona un creatives ke bheje pe bhi asar kar jaaye... aur hame aur sade hue storyline ko bardaasht karna pade! Hayyo!
