I never wished to say this here, but if you ask me in terms of looks, performance, dressing sense and attitude Lakshmi stands no chance in front of Ayesha as a Bollywood star.

I watch this show, that too on and off, only for Shraddha Arya and her brilliant performances. I fell in love with her as Pakhi and couldn't stay away when she came back as Ayesha Sareen. Otherwise, in my point of view, neither is the writing gripping nor the leads impressive enough to hold the show or the audiences attention together.

I guess we have a different idea of beauty in England. Shraddha Arya is pretty but I wouldn't say beautiful. Her make-up always looks blotched (fault of the MUA I guess, not hers, unless she has bad skin - I mean her make-up lacks in coverage, and there's way too much blusher and too little contouring).

I would say that the actress playing Lakshmi is much prettier, she's more of a Western beauty with her features as Shraddha has a really industrial nose (the kind no one wants, it's huge).

I dnt like the chrcter ayesha sareen, but i like shraddha.. She is beautiful.. Fat?? Nooo way.. Short?? A big noo..

I will have to agree with you there. We do have different notions of beauty. There are yardsticks through which people compare how beautiful someone is and these vary at different places, like you said. But I feel someone who is beautiful is beautiful everywhere. I don't understand these western or eastern ideas of beauty.

As far as Shraddha is concerned, I think she is a very good combination of beauty, grace and talent. As I have already mentioned, I have watched most of her work in the past and that's one reason I am a little partial towards her. I admire her versatility and the effort she puts into each character. If you go back and watch "Tumhari Pakhi", I'm sure you too would be struck by the transformation that has been brought by Shraddha from Pakhi to Ayesha and for me it's the actor/actress as a package that counts the most. Just a pretty face won't do for me.

And Lakshmi I find to be a very average looking girl. (That's just my opinion and I don't intend to make concrete value judgements here). In addition to that, I think what she lacks is a strong screen presence which attracts viewers to the character in the first place. But I think experience can sort that out for her. Even Shraddha wasn't a favourite of mine when she started out as Lakshmi in the so called first season of this show.

However,to each his/her own. The heart likes what the heart likes. It's totally your choice. The only reason I made the first post was because I couldn't see Shraddha being insulted in such harsh and cruel terms.

This post is highly abusive as far as content is there.. You can speak anything about the character but not Shraddha..

Maybe you have developed some sort of cataract (eye disease) because even a blind guy will be able to feel how beautiful Shraddha Arya is...In desi language she is known as " hadd babe"..

Back after a really long time. What made u people think that I saw her in show got angry. I am a guy myself and as per me she is not good enuf to play a character of good looking/gorgeous/stylish on tv/movies... she may be in some side character and hurt my eyes less.
