And Maya remains

So at the end of the story what does remain. Maya the girl and Maya the illusion. People on earth believe Garuds went to bring back Ganga and in the process of bringing back Ganga they all died. No one knows the real purpose of Garud's journey. No one knows what happened inside the Patal lok. Why. Why people are not told about the great sacrifice of the Garuds so that they understand how much pain it took to bring back Ganga on earth. Why it is not explicitly told water is " Amrit" the life force without which we cannot live.

Reason as shown in Rudra's journey the real knowledge, the real power can be given only to those people who deserve it. The one's who are so willing to give. Else either the knowledge will be mocked at or the power will end up in wrong hands. Imagine the situation water is controlled by some MNC like Dr Rao's. Hence only what the normal people understand or have the capacity to understand is revealed. Rest is taken care by Maya. If Rudra alone comes up there will be n number of questions on other Garuds. What would he tell or how can he tell the sacrifice of Garuds or his killing of Shiva. What he did was in the path of duty but the world will never believe it. His selfless sacrifice and pain the world will interpret as selfishness to hold power. Hence to ensure his selfless sacrifice gets its due credit Maya or illusion ensures that the world only knows Garuds brought back Ganga

Understand that the world run on illusion or Maya. Maya is that power in the positive form creates loving relationships taking life forward and in her destructive avatar makes people egoistic and power hungry.

Maya gives pain, knowledgeable learn from the pain to understand the purpose of life and fight. Good people often succumb to fear and call whatever pain that comes to them as fate. They don't trust themselves and give a fight. Maybe the last blank wall will be revealed only at the right time when the enemy becomes vulnerable. That's how Maya works. To ensure power never goes in wrong hands Maya keeps on challenging good people, to fight, by giving them pain and more pain. When the right person rises to the occasion the knowledge is given to him or her.

Maya is not a destructive force for anyone who abide by their conscience. She is the most constructive force. She is your protector if you understand her. That's why in the show also she is shown as a married woman who is loved and respected. A woman in a loving relationship can never be destructive, it is when love is deprived, respect is deprived she becomes destructive. Understand Maya. Try to understand the reason behind your pain. When you understand Maya ki Leela you will grow as a better human. And closing this post with one more comment. Why Leela was needed. She was needed to revive Maya. Leela stands for knowledge and without her Maya cannot be created.

So the great strategists are those knowledgeable people who create illusion with their knowledge. Aur rather I would say they use Maya in the right way. It is so sad when there is such wastage of potential. The story had the potential to draw so many parallels between the real and the abstract. To make things realistic amidst all the fantasy. To drive home the message clearly and beautifully without having to resort to merely leave pop up notes here and there.

But no. At the end of it all you only feel that so much is missing. So much unexplained. So many loop holes. If only...

What could have been akin to JaiShankar Prasad's Kamayani is reduced to a child's fantasy bed time story.

They should have shown Maya explicitly as the protective force. The woman or Maya is that power which in every form protects a man. As a wife, as a sister, as a daughter, as a friend, as a mother. Maybe that is why they say Shakthi should always be associated with Shiva or rather girls are asked to take vrath for getting husband like Shiv. Because only when a man truly acknowledges the Shakthi and makes her part of him she will work in a constructive manner bringing joy and happiness. Else that power can bring only destruction not only to herself but to others also.
