Episodes starts with Shivam telling his mother that for an important work in the office he needs to go to Patna. She is proud and says he is not a big officer and leaves to pack his bag, his sisters leave to go pack some food.
At Anupams house Sarla is talking about costoms, and telling him as there is no ladies in th house he will not know. Anupum says he will do it if they tell him what it is. She says that the girls family touches the boys family feet and tries to think of a nice way to bring $$$ into the talk, but Shanti sees a picture of a lady in a lawyers coat on the wall and asks If that was his wife.
He says Yes, and that she fought against the Dowry system with ministers in the court! Shanti and Sarla gets worried. Shanti makes a comment and Sarla jokingly says in the house who was the judge between his wife and mother? He tells her that they lived like mother and daughter!
Shanti says even in her house there is no difference between daughters and bahu's (Yeah right!!) Anupum gets happy hearing this and asks their advice on the customs of their family! She tells him because he wants to he can give them a gift as it is her and her mother alone . He says he has 1000 Rs, he touches their feet and gives some to Shanti and Sarla.
Riya comes and they give her teeka and a coconut and Shanti gives her a neek of 500 Rs. And shows Anupum , who took aut a 10 rs but then changed it and Shanti also gave ..Sarla takes all that and says she will give it to the poor. Sahil take a picture of this.
She also tells him she dose not believe in the dowry system once the kids are happy as all she has is for them. Anupum also says all he has is for Riya and he wants a good wedding. As long as they are happy.
Sarla and Shanti take leave saying they will fix a good time with the pundit as now her son won't be able to wait..she changes it and says that her son is shy and she has to do everything. They wonder about Sahil as they thought Riya was the only Child. Anupum tells them Sahil is his brothers son. They leave happy.
Anupum and Sahil tease Riya that when she goes both of them will be alone in the house and can do what they want!!! Riya says she is not going far . Her father asks if she is happy and she says yes. She goes inside with her phone.
Riya tries calling Shivam but his phone is busy. She decides to send him the photo of the nek. Shivam is on the phone with someone making travel plans and gets the message. He starts downloading the picture but Preeti and Nimmi comes down arguing and the knock into him making him drop his phone into a bucket of water.
Riya is waiting on the call ,when the phone rings . It is Prashant asking if she resigned . She gets irritated and tells him it is her job and her problem...then tells him she will talk to him later. Shivam is looking at the phone. His mother asks if it will work he says no. Nimmi gives him Preeti's phone but she says she needs it for her office. Nimmi then gives him hers and says she will try to fix his. He leaves for Patna.
Shanti comes home and and Sonal also comes over. She goes inside and calls Nimmi and tell her to bring the computer. Koushilya asks if they sealed the marriage and they tauntingly reply yes. Shanti says she knows Nimmi put the Swing on sale in Sashikala's name. Every one gets scared. Nimmi denies this. Shanti tells Sonal to check the site. Sonal checks and says nothing is there. Shanti says she knows she did that. But how come her name is not there??
Back at Riya's house Bunty comes with Pani Puri to celebrate the success of the plan. Anupum asks what plan and she says marketing plan. They send the guys out to get panni Puri while the girls gossip.
Nimmi says that she did not do anything. Shanti says her swing is being sold but what about the bike? Koushilya tells them the happy news that Shivam got his job back. Shanti grudgingly says she is happy for that. Koushilya goes to get a tiffin for Sarla . Sarla tells her mother that she spoke to the pundit and that he said that for slapping Amit Ragav has to give him a pice of as repentance. Nimmia nd Preeti all look on in shock. She says she has a small thin chan she will give him to give Amit at home why should he go through all that expense as he already has to spend money for the wedding. She asks Koushilya to bring back her parcel with the sweets to return it and get back money.
The kids go upstairs and Sarla leaves. With the parcel and tiffin.
Bunty and Riya are eating gol gapes. When Bunty tells Riya that the guy is so quite what if on the day of the wedding he says no because up to now they have not talked. Riya says Butny is being Stupid but she gets worried.
Amit is on the phone with some one telling them he will pay and not to threthen him he is tryong to arrange the money. He cuts the call. Sarla calls him and tells him she fixed the marriage Amit gets happy. He calls Riya and asks her to meet him at a resultant since he knows the marriage is fixed she agrees. Bunty comments that more than the husband her devar is calling.
Riya says maybe Shivam wants to give her a message through Amit as he is the shy type. Riya finds that strange.
The jellwer is at Shanti's house showing his goods. Koushilya and the girls look on and shanti tells them when it is there time to get married she will do the same for them. She sends then to bring refeshments and waits until they all leave the room and selects a thick chant for 70,000 Rs. She tells him to write it in her credit and put the chanin a her pallu saying she does not need the box. She thinks it will be for Sarla. Koushilya comes back and she asks her to choose a set as well. Koushilya happily chooses one and then Shanti says that will look good on Sarla. Koushilya gets disappointed.
Sarla takes a necklace she has in a pan and looks at it. Her hisband comes and sees and she says her mother gave it to her. She lets it slip that she and Shanti fixed Amit's marriage. Ashook gets mad that no one bothered to tell him any thing. She insults him and says it is not like he will do anything any way. He tells her he will make sure his son has a grand wedding.
Shanti calls and tells her to come over. With the kids.
Amit is sprucing up waiting for Riya when the goons come and grabs him they start beating him. Riya and Bunty comes and sees a crowd watching a man getting beaten by a group and thinks he looks like a good person. She does not see his face, but Amit sees her and hides his face. Riya calls the police to come stop the fight, and tries calling Amit but he dose not answer. They leave the restaurant.
Shanti and Koushilya are playing music they call Nimmi and Preeti to dance in celebration Sarla and her two daughters arrive and Sarla stats singing off key but they all dance. Nimmi comments on how Shanti is playing the thali. Shanti says in her young days she used to sing great!.
Sarla makes up some excuse about forgetting a chain and leaves and some neighbors come They tell the neighbors they are celebrating the fixing of the marriage. Ragave comes home and sees every one dancing . The ladies leave and they inform him about Amits marriage being fixed and also about Shivam getting his job back and not having to sell the bike. He is happy to hear this. He asks his mother to sing as she is a good singer , he tells the kids when he was younger she used to sing bhajans and people would come stand by the door just to hear her. Shanti smiles with pride. She says she will sing on one condition if Ragave dances. He says no and she jokes that he shakes for Koushilya ! They pull him to dance and he pulls Shanti. They have a happy family moment and the episode ends on Shanti's Happy face for once in her life !
PRECAP: Shivam tells his grandmother he arranged with the store to pay off the good by installment. His father tells him that is a good thing and he is proud of him. Shivam Smiles. Shivam and Riya in a resutrant, she is holding his hand and asks him to say something. Sarla is seeing all this!
