Glamourising History v/s Mythical History

I was reading an article on History serials and movies on TOI(pls read it if you can) today. The author specifies why you should not distort history and how majority people are fooled into believing that what is being shown in serial/movies is real history and myth is being considered as history.

The vary basis of majority serials is false history or distortion. See any historical serial they have distorted facts so much. In Ashoka, Bindusara has a brother Justin who loves Bindusara's wife(they are actually disgracing Mauryan dynasty), in Maharana Pratap, Pratap meets Akbar in childhood and better still both fight few times while in real history they never came face to face ever in battle or otherwise, then comes Jodha Akbar, first of all the premise that Jodha was loved by Akbar itself has no historical or folklore evidence. Indeed many apart from a few states in north india had no idea till they saw Mughal-e-azam or Jodha Akbar movie or serial that Akbar had a wife called Jodha(rather Hira) in first place. Only in hindi movie/serial a daughter in law becomes a wife no where else any such creative liberty shall be allowed in world.
Ok fine for creative liberty lets assume that Akbar loved Jodha, but again this Akbar is no where the emperor Akbar the great. He needs his wife Jodha to hand hold him at every step and guide him like a kid and he cannot even win an war without his begums help. While in history we have read Akbar had navratna's to guide him here wives are his ministers. And history clearly points us Akbar was a clever, intuitive, visionary monarch but this Akbar has no such qualities to boast off. Indeed we feel his sons Salim, Murad and Daniyal are more independent minded and bold than him.
This Akbar is a saint, he feels pity and keeps forgiving enemies, never venture on wars, never is seen in DEA or DEK except for family matters like which baby to dante to which wife, he never looks capable of doing anything on his own. Then comes distorting his chief Queens Ruqaiah is a devil who drugs Salim(ha ha was not Salim close to Ruq and Salima in real and they supported him to be emperor) and makes him drink wine and gets him sent to battle at tender age of 9, Salima is a saint woman who has no desires at all, she only helps all his other wives. I keep reading on facebook that Akbar did not speak to Ruqaiah for 7 or 9 years(again a blatant lie propagated by social media), that Akbar did not like/love Ruqaiah(as she is buried with father in Kabul), that Salima and he had no relationship she was just his khan baba's wife an amanat of khan baba(another blatant lie) and so on and so forth. Currently majority people believe that Salim loving anarkali is wrong as he is engaged to man bai(another distortion of folklore story where that is not at all mentioned). Even more distortion Murad send assassin to kill Salim(Oh God so all Mughal brothers are thirsty for each others blood) and Salim and Murad hate each other from childhood(Really they both bonded on defying Akbar in real history) and Daniyal is instigating Murad against Salim.
Then when we come to Maharana Pratap he is another extreme of Akbar, he is an one man army. He fights thousands single handedly, in mewar if he is not there people cannot do anything, he had many wives 11 or 12 but here he is patni vratha purush only ajabde is his wife till now. And Pratap rarely listens to anyone his father, ministers, wife, mothers are all commanded to do as per his orders from his childhood.
Ashoka is one more highly distorted serial apart from devar-babhi love affair, Ashoka has no clue who is father is, bindusara has no idea about dharma and ashoka, no one has an idea of anyone here. I mean really Bindusara has no idea of his wife and son and his wife is being chased by his own body gaurds as she has falsely been accused of theft and she is a servant to his main wife. Ufff can anything get more complicated.
Best part about these serials many people are brainwashed and believe all this fiction is true history. And since many viewers like the characters and are fans of the characters/actors they start believing that all the serial is truth.

This serial's lead character name seems to be Akbar ; That's where the coincidence ends. The story they are showing is someone's imagination .
Akbar has been assassinated and buried n number of times in the serial. He cannot command a gatekeeper in Agra or quell a civil unrest in the serial. He needs his chief queen for all of political reforms, wars and running DEK on a daily basis.
The way they have portrayed Jodha as this bossy bhashhan queen who dances on Akbar's head, I have developed a dislike for REAL one now.
And there are records to suggest that he indeed had a special relationship with Salima who was a very cultured and evolved lady much into arts and poetry. And she was his maternal cousin.

Salima is potrayed as wife stealer of Ruq and husband betrayer of BK in Maharana Pratap. She was seducing Akbar when married to Bairam khan and Akbar killed BK to get her in MP.
