I just stumbled upon the latest info at IF regarding Shiv's murder at the hands of Misha and I actually felt really sad. I never really established a connection with the character of Shiv...but reading about his end just broke my heart...
And it's because of the Patel women - DD and Roshni. DD spent all these years alone when she needed the love and support of her husband. And when fate brings DD and Shiv back together, she loses him once again. This time forever. Cruel, no? :(
Then there's Roshni. The girl was deprived of a father figure, was lied to about him. And when he finally enters her life he becomes her 'lucky charm, but only to be snatched away from her again. This time forever. This just isn't right. DD and Roshni do not deserve this. They deserve better.
And I do feel bad for Shiv as well. He had to work hard to make amends with his estranged wife and had to win over the love and trust of his daughter...and not fogetting his mother in law as well. Right now we are watching him make all attempts possible to reach home in order to save the happiness of his daughter. It's sad that he will die in such a tragic way. He too deserved to enjoy a life with his family once again.
I know that the CVs want to create a stir with high voltage drama. But I don't believe it is necessary for them to end Shiv's character. After everything that DD, Roshni and Shiv have been through to reconnect, this is just heartless. I don't know about the rest of the audience but I feel this is an unwise and senseless move, as well as a cruel one.
