Joshi’s heart goes out to Amit Paul

Shillong: After political heavy weights like Chief Minister DD Lapang and a number of prominent legislators expressed their support for Amit Paul, the lone finalist from Meghalaya and North East at the Indian Idol 3 contest, Governor Banwari Lal Joshi also played his part by participating in a signature campaign, launched by Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club, at the Raj Bhavan on Friday morning.

In his signature campaign, the Governor wrote, "Yes…! Wholeheartedly for Amit..." in a huge banner on the mobile vehicle taken out by the club as part of its initiative to garner more support for Amit.

It may be mentioned that the Club general secretary, Manas Chaudhuri was also present on the occasion.
