Yes. But except IND every team is used to these rules and the irony is IND has the most success rate in DRS decisions. More than 90% of decisions IND appealed were given in their favour. Infact IND had 100% record before this WC. 😆 Also there is a simple solution for this, make 3rd umpire supervise every decision, if umpire makes a mistake 3rd umpire will over rule it.

DRS should be compulsory. On this one, I agree w/ other countries who think BCCI has too much power & influence in the game.

Thanks Virus for explaining it in detail

Ghanta influence. It is still the goras ruling cricket. 😆 If that was the case anderson would have been punished for pushing jadeja. Instead of anderson jadeja was fined first and then they removed the fine after complaint. They have to agree with DRS rule because BCCI will flat out refuse to play and the biggest audience of cricket goes out of the window.

White influence in cricket is much reduced. In the 80s, it was England & Australia, followed by NZ, and West Indies was only influential due to their dominance of cricket. Today, it's India, Australia and South Africa, w/ some England participation as well.

That's in sharp contrast not just to today, but as early as the 90s. If it wasn't there, a 4th rate team like Bangladesh would not have gotten test status had it been the MCC still running things. Reason they got it was that Dalmiya, who was then ICC president - due to race based voting support. India's dominance since the 2000s has been due to the blooming economy compounding the biggest market: India was the largest population of cricketing countries throughout history, but became the largest market only in the 2000s after the economy exploded.
