What about Urmila?

Whats her mistake to be burdened with a souten in waiting?

Whats her mistake to get married to Kundan who thinks women are meant for only 2 purposes?

She will turn into Harki bitter and unforgiving.

The all knowing Urmila.Jealous and upset.

The innocent and ignorant Nimbli.

Kundan trying to eat the cake(Nimbli) and also having the cake(Urmila).

It is not her fault that she ended up getting married to Kundan that too as a second wife.

Too bad her parents were willing to sacrifice her life for the sake of their reputation

Too bad she ended up as Akheraj's bahu.

If she is unkind to Nimboli and tries to get rid of her who can blame her?Today she is just a kid but who knows what tomorrow holds? Nimboli is not going to be a kid for ever she will grow up and what if she stakes her claim over Kundan as his first wife?

For Akheraj it is money that Urmi has and her father holds that money as a bait for compliance.

Urmila, well her mistake is that her father did not conduct due diligence of Akheraj's family. He just relied on the Pandit. He should have asked around the village about Akhi family, general reputation etc. Girls expect their parents to do what is best. Hethram too did what he thought was best. But he did not do enough. Even Pushkar's father knew of Akhiraj's reputation but he agreed to the match because of his son's shortcomings.

As for as Urmi getting married to Kundan, well most men of that society think that women are meant only for 2 purposes. Urmila's mother should have already told Urmila that. I do not think Urmila is planning on any radical changes in her life. Her mother too is looking after home and husband.

If Urmila plays her cards well and listen's to her mother's teachings, she will be fine after some initial tussle with Nimboli. She may not turn out to be as submissive a person as Kundan would like. But that is between husband and wife. Both are adults.

Her mistake?

So far mistake is her parents for marrying her to kundan in a hurry w/o finding out the details. The whole village knows he's married and they didn't bother to find it.😳

Soon it'll be her mistake too once she starts her fake acts and drama's and try to get rid of nimboli.
