Hello people!

Everyone of us is taking efforts to keep the forum active. We want this forum in top 8 list at least. So let's start something innovative. How many of us like Mathematics? Interesting subject isn't it? Let's include NeiRa in different maths problems and try to solve those.

The game is simple. One member will post a mathematics sum and the next member will solve it and give an another problem ( not necessary )

So let's do it, what say?

Let me start!

20% of Nachiket's salary is spent on kids, 60% are his living expenses and 10% is paid in LIC. If he spends remaining Rs. 20,000/- on Ragini, Then find his salary.

20% + 60% + 10% = 90% That means remaining 20,000 rupees spent on Ragini are 10% of his salary.

x(10/100) = 20,000

x = 2,00,00/- Nachiket's salary.

Solve this :

Nachiket can clean their house in 5 hours while Ragini can do the same work in 3 hours.
How much time will they take to clean the house if they work together?

Time taken by Nachiket for one hour = 1/5 and Ragini = 1/3

Work of Nachiket and Ragini for 1 hour = 1/5 + 1/3 = 8/15

Hence, if they work together it will take 15/8 hours ( inverse )

15/8 hours = 1 hour 52 min. and 30 seconds 😉
