Replacement and other options

If the makers are not willing for replacement...then it means two things...either they do value Shashank's contribution as Jagya for 5+ years & they do want Shashank only to be remembered as adult Jagya forever since it was his debut role ⭐️.

OR... They are very much sure that whatever story they had for Jagya could be finished in the notice period of Shashank & they dont have ( or dont want to give) any further interesting/challenging story for the character otherwise SV wouldnt have called "i quit".

So there is no need for replacement.

As for acceptance of replacements...the trps do show that there is a huge difference in attitude between fan of actors/actresses and general oblivious household audience...have seen it with BV & with other shows too where lead's replacement is concerned.

Settling abroad is anyways a weird option...& i dont know how they are gonna show it with logic <<too much to expect from BV CVs😳)

Only a garlanded Jagya will go with the story.

Replacxements work if there is a lot more scope for the character to grow and evolve as the story progresses or if a large part of the story itself remained untold at the time of replacement.

It is the scope the character has in the context of the story that is being told decides whethere replacement works or not.

Gauri's replacement came in too late when the character itself became irrelevant in the context of the story.Had replacement happened when Jagya Gauri story was at the peak the replacement would have been accepted and in my opinion Jagya's story would have been lot more interesting with Gauri around.

As for Jagya what is the scope for this character post leap and what is the contribution to the story?

Sure they could have used BH couple to tell a story of busy parents and their children. But beyond that what is there to show through them?

But the fact is that the main story now has moved to Anandi and Nandini and her sasural where Singhs don't have much of a role except as onlookers just like Anandi is just an onlooker in Ratan Ganga and Mannu with no say in the procedings

How ever much we like Singhs their characters have become bit players and another family has taken centre stage and they are dealing with issues which they have not dealt with before.Even Anandi is connected to this story only remotely because it is happening in her daughter's life.This story is managing to grab eye balls and imagination - so this is being shown in great detail.Leaving very little place for BH people.

With the story taking a different direction what is the scope for his character ?

Don't know whether replacement will work.

if they will not go for replacement then who will take care abhi mannu , i dont think they will show ganga as single mother.

i think replacement will be there. they will take aged actor . by the way when jagya will shoot his last episode? any idea. He will be part of 2000 episode or before that only he will go.

As for Jagya, if they don't want to replace him or kill him, then just like SingerSa got a great offer in Benaras, Jagya too could be called to Amrika to look after his aging parents. He can hand over hospital to someone and shift with family. There he and his wife can reappear for medical exams in Amrika and start practicing again eventually.

I agree with the above posts that there is hardly anything challenging left for J's character so replacement won't fetch much.

I would have preferred a garlanded J over someone being sent abroad for eternity. settling abroad sounds extremely illogical.

I always find it hard to accept replacements for leads particularly if I am attached to that character. I had big time difficulty in accepting Toral ( and still do). Was not ready to accept replacement of Shiv, Bhairon n Sumi. Did not like new Gauri either and struggled accepting Gehna too. Although later I genuienly accepted Gehnas replacement.

And I would equally find it difficult to accept a new face for J.

So yes, I would rather have J die and leave us with 5 years worth of his memories then to overnight wipe off everything and pretend as if those 5 years of J's life ( in Shanky's face) never existed. Something that we were forced to do with Pratyusha
