Nandita Singgha's biopic on the murdered crime journalist seems to be getting bigger and bigger by the day...
Nandita Singgha director producer of Mid Dey, the biopic on crime journalist J Dey, seems to leave no stone unturned for the film. She has already approached Aamir Khan for the lead character for which he has allotted dates as well, but there was still some confusion as to who will play the female lead. Our little birdies claim to have seen Nandita Singgha meeting up with London based British actress Emma Watson for the Female lead.
For all you folks who are already imagining seeing the Harry Potter actress in a Bollywood film and that too opposite Aamir Khan, hold on. The source confirms that the two actors will not have any scenes together. While Aamir will be playing the lead role of the murdered crime reporter, Emma has been approached to play the role of a British journalist. Its her character in the film which break the news of the J Dey murder to the world. It is she who shows the world the power and status of journalists in India in the present day.
There have been no confirmation yet from anyone over the same, but if this news is true, then this English-Hindi bilingual can move on to become Aamir's first Hollywood project even. Nandita said, "Once everything is finalized, we will hold a couple of press conferences in India and UK to announce the film. Till then let's keep our fingers crosses."
