Chapter 1
"ASR could not crack a bloody deal!", Arnav banged his hand on his car violently, he looked around there was pin-drop silent...his car had lead him in the same direction where he had drived the truck the previous night...He he could clearly see police patrolling and the nearby area sealed at the location...He sat in the middle of road talking to himself, "ASR a brand in himself!", he whispered to himself and laughed sarcastically
Someone banged the horn...he wasn't bothered to divert his attention, finally a beautiful girl came out
"Hello!...Why are you sitting in the middle?", she said coming in front of him, Arnav didn't notice her being immersed in his thoughts she finally sat in front of him on her knees and waved her hand in front of him that brought him into present and he looked up at her
"Car...I need to go!", she said raising her eyebrows
"Oh I am sorry!", Arnav said
"No its okay...I can see your car is punctured!...I can help you if you want", She replied
"No...it's okay!", he answered
"I am going in the same direction...I mean see one way is sealed it's evident you want to go via other way so I can help you!", She said, Arnav agreed to her convincing voice, they both together managed to take his car aside and sat in her car
"Any Problem?", she asked while driving and continued, "If its any personal thing let it be!"
"No nothing personal just some work problem", Arnav replied
"Yeah I can understand when we try something and don't get it, it hurts!", She said
"Yeah you are correct", he seconded her words
For the remaining time both were silent, Arnav leaned back on the seat and got up with the application of break
"Your house!", she said as she got up...and both got out of the car
"Thanks", he said and continued, "What's your name?"
"No mentions!...Things that happened are past and have passed, you cannot change them but the things in your future are in your hands...though your future depends on your past don't let it affect your present...I am Khushi", she said and went away while he starred at her till she disappeared

Arnav entered his house knowing that everyone must have gone asleep, but his family was still awake that stunned him
"Arnav are you fine?", Anjali came forward
"Yes Saale sahab, Everyone was tensed!", Shyaam joined Anjali
"I am alright!...", Arnav said and continued, "But why are you guys still awake?"
"We all were tensed Arnav!", his dadi said
"Dadi I am fine...Deals will keep on coming and going and that deal maybe it wasn't meant to happen by us...I am sure we will crack a better one!", he smiled with full confidence that echoed on everyone's face
"That's the spirit Saale sahab", his brother-in-law said patting on his shoulders
"You are right jeeju!", Arnav said smiling
"Dinner?", Anjali asked
"No dii I did have it outside itself...now I want some rest!", Arnav said and went back to his room
Though he pretended to be normal that accident haunted him, he would really be restless when even that thought would come in his mind, all he knew he was carrying a burden of guilt over his mind and heart by keeping his family unaware of it and that thing haunted him the most of all..Thinking about how all his life changed with that single event he was covered with the blanket of a restless but deep sleep
**Next Day**
Arnav was not least surprised to find his kaka so early and first person to greet him that morning
"Good evening bacha!", he began...through his eyes it was definitely evident that he had not just come for just greeting Arnav
"Good Morning", Arnav's voice was stiff enough
"I am glad that you moved on!", kaka said
"Kaka it will be good if we talk later...I wanted to reach office early today", Arnav said
"Arre Arnav you are the owner yourself...still you are bound by so many do's and don'ts...I almost carry my stomach on my hand while driving, just keep this in mind", there he hit Arnav back with his words...he had already guessed it but all Arnav did is nod and move into his bathroom

"May I come in Sir...", his accountant knocked the door
"yeah!", Arnav permitted her
"Sir...ac...actually", she was stuck in finding some less harming words in her vocabulary
"Be Clear!", Arnav ordered
"Sir the last share deal was cracked by Agnihotris as a result we did face a major loss...the companies which sponsored us are raising numerous questions asking reasons for our failiure...", she took her head low
"But such things happen...it's not the first time!", Arnav said
"That's what I too said Sir, actually theur reasoning is that it took all of us more than six months to design an outline and prepare for it so none of our sponsors invested in any other company and all are facing a major loss!", she said
"If these questions are raised on a personal level then tell them such things happen and if it's raised on a professional level tell them there was no such bond signed in which it was written that they could question us plus we didn't held them from investing with someone else it was solely their choice!", Arnav said in a demanding voice
"Sir this step can shatter our business alliance!", she reminded him
Arnav judged her words and found them to be valid...just then he got a call from reception
Receptionist: Sir your uncle has left a message for you as your phone is off, he has asked you to come at the Iceberg cafe in front of our office immediately!
Arnav: Okay thanks!
**Call Ends**

"Uncle What's the problem? Why so urgency?", Arnav asked his uncle
"Some problem Arnav", his uncle said
"What problem that cannot be discussed at home or in office?", Arnav asked
"I don't think we will get privacy there!...actually police has calculated some traces of the tire that hit a girl...please if you can...", he started something but Arnav cut him in middle, "So you want me to ...", Arnav started mockingly his uncle still continued, "Yes you are right!"
"Uncle... I am not a coward to do such things!...already that night haunts me...it is also affecting people related to me personally as well as professionally!...Have you ever thought about that girl's family?", He lashed the last sound coming with most harsh ASRs tone
"You are thinking about that stranger's family...What about mine?...My children are still completing their education! I have just recovered from a financial crises...There is no other source for my family!", his uncle pleaded and as a result Arnav melted, "Okay let me see what I can do!", he said in somewhat stiff voice and began to move...he stopped all of a sudden and turned, "It will hit back Uncle...maybe mildly or harshly!", he ended and turned back to leave but he sensed a girl started to move as he too turned to move...It looked like she was keenly observing them... . "Khushi??",he whispered and followed her
