The show is illogical in other ways, but on this one, if Nandini was Arjun's jiji and significantly older, she could have been his caretaker. Like if she was in her late teens when Arjun was in his preteens.

But it still leaves a problem. Either Nandini would have to be majorly old to be romantically interested in Samrat, or she has to be really twisted to wanna romance a man so much older than her. Otherwise, it hardly adds up that Nandini & Samrat are age compatible, while Arjun is age compatible to Samrat's daughter.

The other thing - if Nandini is still alive, why is Arjun burning for revenge? It would only have made sense had Samrat been the cause of Nandini's death. Also, Arjun's name is Mehra and Nandini's name is Pandey, so either they are cousins, or she was married to a Mr Pandey. So what's the story there?

If nandini is his sister how come arjun is orphan???
