It's a season of comebacks on the small screen. Following Gauri Pradhan's return to TV after five years with 'Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi', actress Shilpa Saklani too returns to fiction after a break of five years with Siddharth Kumar Tewary's 'Manmarziyan'.
A negative role, the actress calls it her anniversary gift to her husband (Apurva Agnihotri).
"My husband has been persuading me to get back to acting for quite sometime, so finally I am doing just that. We will complete 13 years of marriage on June 28 and this is my anniversary gift to him," she says, adding, "The fact that it's a negative character was enough challenge for me to take it up. Another reason was that I wanted to work with friends. and Siddharth and Gayatri are dear friends. Everything fell into place."
Last seen in the seventh season of 'Bigg Boss', Shilpa had played a negative role in 'Kkusum'. Her last fiction outing was 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
