Yes, yes, the episode left a bad taste in the mouth for everyone. 😆 And going by the precap it isn't exactly a rosy ride tomorrow either what's with the whole natak of Malvika's bracelet and Ananya looking all disheartened. 😳
But then, c'mon peepz, the synopsis and the spoilers never hinted at anything much positive for now even when Kabir came back, not for another 2-3 episodes I suppose.
Although the whole Malvika going to Kabir's place with wine wasn't how exactly we had anticipated so that was, well..you know. NOT ideal. 😆 But yeah, now, we gotta live with that too!
But then, after the episode ended I sat thinking, what IF, WHAT IF, this had been an Ekta maiyaa production/concept show?
Rings a warning ki ghanti ? I thought so. 😈
And so with that thought in my head, I went on to get inspired by the previous Balaji soaps as my memory served me and came up with the upcoming track(s) for Reporters - The Ekta maiyaa way - Here it goes 😎
The next day at office Kabir calls Ananya to his cabin and assigns her a case and in between Malvika barges in and relays her whole pichle raat ki gathaa laced with extra jam and butter so that Ananya believes they slept together. And Kabir, adding ghee to the aag Malvika her bracelet back and maybe her purse too, hinting at more intimate sitautions between the two. It leaves Ananya heartbroken and she decides to stay away from Kabir.
Cut to Singapore, where KL decides to fly down to his daughter and talk to Kabir regrading how these two came close, and they now HAVE to be bonded in holy matrimony because yeh Prasad khaandan ki izzat ka sawaal hai, about his daughter's dignity and integrity. 😆
Ananya resigns from KKN hearing about it and we are shown a drunk Kabir who is going through a guilt phase at having taken fayda of Malvika but he can't remember what he has done, to be precise but believes what KL and Malvika have told him. So he agrees to get married to her, sacrificing his love for his junior reporter.
FIVE YEARS LATER-
Ananya is a news anchor in a rival channel as her heart break has left her with less energy to pursue truth on her own. Richa and Ronnie hooked up after Ananya didn't accept the latter's proposal and these two have two kids they are prepping to be future hot shot journos as well.
Kabir and Malvika have the most screwed up marriage and only stay with each other because of their son, who is actually not even Kabir's saput but the result of one of Malvika's numerous affairs she used to hold on to Kabir.😆
At a party organised by one media biggie, Kabir Ananya meet and what follows is some intense eye locks and the two feel their long lost connection with each other again.
Back at Richa-Ronnie's place, Richa comes across the letter Ananya had written to Ronnie explaining things when she has said no to his proposal. She realises she needs to show it to Kabir now that he is not happy in his marriage with Malvika. And since Kabir and Richa have grown to be really good friends, she storms into his cabin at KKN the next day and hands over the letter to him saying you misunderstood Ananya all these years.
Kabir is shocked and saddened at the turn of events because of how he had behaved with Ananya all these years ago so he goes to apologize to her place. After a few hits and misses they do manage to talk it out but he says he can't leave Malvika because he has a son with her.
Now cut to Malvika, who is with MANAV GUPTA. They had been having an affair all this time and the kid is Manav's( somehow had to involve Manav into the plot right, didn't seem right to push him out😆 ) Some blood test of their kid who is suffering from some disease brings out to the fore how the blood group doesn't match Kabir's and it makes him shake off his rusted investigative skills and with Lakshman's help he figures out its not his kid.
Although having acted as the father of the child all these years, he decides he can't abandon the child so just asks for divorce from Malvika who creates a ruckus about making life hell for Kabir and dragging him to court with badnaami and all, alimony and all child custody fiasco. ( My brain was working overtime 🤣)
So Kabir goes out to prove all of Malvika's affairs in court and Ananya helps him by working double shift.
In the end, Malvika's loses the case and KaYa are united finally, with aashirvaad from Khalid who is retired now. 😆
So, Kaisa lagaa? 🤣
Thing is, this could have been a lot worse. So, thank your stars we aren't seeing anything remotely close to THIS :P
Today's jaane se pehle gave us hope- Yes, this too shall pass. And going by the show's record, sooner than later. They don't take ages to fix things. Give it a couple more episodes, or close to that. Things will start to look up.
In the meantime, if anybody wants to add anymore ridiculousness to this particular story, go ahead and do so. 😈 Or comment.
