Chapter 1 : Crazy search

He sat on his bed with the laptop on his lap and switched it on. As soon as the laptop started he opened the internet browser and in the google search box typed ...ways to confess your love to a girl. (<<🤣 ) and soon the results were in front of his eyes.

And so Mr. impatient singh raizada clicked on the first link that came up and was rewarded by 5 steps to take into consideration while confessing your love to a girl.

1) Be sure that the one you want to confess to is truly the right person for you, not just some random person that has good looks you saw on the street! - oh definitely there is no doubt she is the right one'his soul

mate and'hey'she is no random person she is his childhood friend afterall'he knows her since they were in kindergarden.
2) Find a good place to confess. A quiet place with just the two of you, if possible, would be a great example. - hum'will have to think about it.. !
3) Ask him/her if you two can meet at the area you want to tell your feelings. ' when he will decide the place and how to confess then only can he call her na'
4) Be prepared for everything! Once you two meet, there is no turning

back! ' that is the problem how to be prepared ? and waise bhi turning back is when there is any doubt. The problem is how to make that moment special for her.
5) Find a reasonable day to tell him/her. A romantic day would be Valentine's Day, or if you want it to be rainy or snowing, fall and winter would be great! ' how can he control natural phenomenon like rain it is not in his hands !! and snow ? why would snow fall in Delhi ? it doesn't happen !! valentine's day oh god it is like six months away'six long months why would he wait

Ok..ok..yes it helped a little but no this was not what he needed !! he thought and then again started searching...

Oh..poor arnav didn't knew that these things can't be searched on net these are only known to heart. No damn website can help in this matter.

After almost one hour long of searching and still being unsuccessful he shut down his laptop and keeping it aside lied on his bed with his left hand below his head while his head rested on the pillow. Soon drifting into deep slumber dreaming about his lady love.

Khushi watched as the hero confessed his love for the heroine...how he sang a sweet song for her and how he gave her that red rose and then confessed that he loved her and how the heroine blushed as she took the rose from his hand and shyly look down her gaze fixed on the rose as she too confessed her love from his and then the movie ended.

And so ms. Dramatic and emotional gupta soon to be Mrs. raizada had happy tears in her eyes as the movie ended and the two lovers were finally together and she was smiling.

Soon she was in her dream land dreaming about arnav and he confessing his love I this way...but somewhere this didn't seem the perfect way to propose love when he did that and as soon as she went she came back from her dreamland and wondered the way he will propose his love for her. She also though about the way she will react.

She was a simple but bubbly and filmy girl. And somewhere she knew she wanted a filmy confession actually she also wished for a dramatic full of problems love story but everything can't be the way she wants na...they were best friends and soon fell in love..no drama..but she was happy the way it was...at least she found true love which she believed is very difficult to find.

chapter 2 : realizations and doubts

It's been 2 days since they last me.

Currently arnav was as usual busy finding a way to propose his love to khushi.

"tring tring" khushi's phone beeped while she was busy searching working on a project of her media agency.

She looked at the screen to know who was calling and it displayed her best friend lavanya's name.

She clicked the green button accepting the call and soon she heard her lavanya's loud "hiii khushi" her voice was filled with excitement and huge amount of joy.

"yes la tell what happened ?" she asked with a frown a little irritated to be disturbed during work.

Yes , Khushi kumara gupta was a joyous and happy girl who got angry rarely and likes to make everyone smile and is also crazy. But when she is doing her work she is purely professional. It doesn't mean that she is strict..no she is friendly. But to manage the media house as the head is not an easy task. This media house was made and has reached among top media houses due to the hard work and struggle

of her dad and she doesn't want to disappoint him in any way. '

"OMG guess what...NK proposed me today !!" la was really excited to share this news with her best friend. In fact khushi is the first person she wants to share this new with.

And all the work and irritation to being disturbed was liked flied into air and khushi was filled with happiness for her best friend. "when did that happen ...gosh I am so happy for u la" said khushi happily.

"u know today nk called me asking for a date...I was surprised as he rarely talked to me in the office but I agreed...u know na I had this big crush on him when since I saw him on my first day MK constructions...today I realized I was in love with him from the first time I saw him" la said and continued to tell how NK confessed his love for her. NK and La have been working in the same office MK constructions for around seven months now but they rarely talked only when required and that to on work related matters but la had a big crush on him since she first saw him on her first day at office and now nk reveled that he to loved her since he saw her but had realized it recently. Before he used to think he was not her type as she belonging to a rich family and only working in MK constructions as she liked this field of job would like rich guys who would spend money like water for her and on the other hand he was a middle class guy.

After lavanya finished with all her how ... he ...confessed his-love story at last she asked "did arnav try to confess his love till now?"

"nah..not now ..i have started to doubt does he even realize he loves me.. I am sure he loves me but not sure if he has realized it." She replied in a little sad tone. "don't worry khush I am sure he will confess soon"

And then the call ended as lavanya had to go somewhere and then khushi leaned back at the chair and closed her eyes.

She remembered the day she became sure of his feeling for her'when he was so unusually close to her and their proximity was immensely affecting her.

Flashback :

They were in a party hosted by maan singh khurana and geet singh khurana. MK Constructions was given the project to construct a new office of AR designs in delhi and so arnav was invited to the party. It was maan and geets wedding anniversary.

He had come with khushi. Lavanya and nk were also there as they were employee's in that company. Also arnav and Maan were friends not very close one but friends as MK designs had being given the job of construction of many of AR offices in many places.

They both were enjoying the party interacting with different people many of them they knew.

By mistakenly the waiter spilt juice over khushi's anarkali dress while he was walking around serving people. Khushi moved around trying to find a washroom when she entered a room and saw arnav talking to someone on his phone...back facing her.

He quickly disconnected the call and turned around to find khushi staring at him.

Khushi tough was going to the washroom but when she saw arnav she was not able look away..she knew the reason.

She loved him. She realized few days ago but never confessed as she thought that arnav considered her only as a friend and she didn't want to spoil this beautiful friendship.

He looked at her and suddenly started moving towards her and she saw something different and strange in his eyes which she had never seen before in his eyes. There was always love for her in his eyes but that was the love a friend had for his friend but this time it was different. There was possessiveness and also desire, one which she had never seen before in his eyes.

She didn't know when he closed the door behind her and she was pinned to the closed door within minutes. And then he was so close to her. And then he cupped her face with both hands and leaned forward. She didn't know why he was doing this but she didn't stop him, she just closed her eyes anticipating a kiss and captured the sides of her anarkali tightly. She was not in her senses...their closeness affecting her to a great extent.

BUT...but then arnav's phone rang and he seemed to come back to his senses and move back making distance between them and turned away.

She just ran towards the washroom in that room. He heartbeat beating at a very high rate and he face turned crimson read as she realized what was going to happen ...what he was going to do.

She leaned her back on the closed door of the washroom and tried to calm her racing heart beats. At that moment she realized something.. he to loved her...her love of not one sided...it was responded. She knew he doesn't realize his love but she knew he soon will and till then she will wait.

Their arnav sat on his big leather chair in his cabin of AR designs Delhi.

He was not able to concentrate on his work.

His thoughts went back to the time he realized his love.

That day at the marriage anniversary party of maan and geet when he was almost going to kiss khushi.

He had come to this room to attend an important call as outside the noises were not letting him speak. When he was about the disconnect the call when he felt a sudden breeze a strange feeling which he nowadays felt when khushi was around

When he had turned after disconnecting the call the sight in front of him took his breath away and his heart skipped a beat.

She was looking so beautiful. He wondered why he never noticed this before. He felt attracted towards her to such an extent that he has never felt before for any other girl. All this started a few days ago only but he could not understand what it was.

He was almost going to kiss her...he was out of his senses and didn't have any idea about what he was doing.

That whole night arnav was not able to sleep. He kept on thinking about khushi and his relationship, their friendship and what had happened or what could have happened that night at the party between them. He asked himself was he in love or was just attracted towards khushi. He could not understand a single thing.

The next day he talked to his di about his feeling. She was the only person other than khushi and his ma who is no longer in this world that he could talk to about his feelings. After talking to her he came to a realization that he was in love. In love with khushi. That he can not live without her

Chapter 3 - The Perfect..

Arnav had decided to wait for some more time and then confess his love..

Wait for the perfect time...

Little did he know that there is no perfect time for such things and maybe waiting for the perfect time ...it becomes all too late.

And currently he was just lying on the couch watching an english movie when the doorbell rang. Nobody was in the house di, nani and mami had gone to mandir, Akash and mamaji were out on a bussiness trip and the servants were also on a holiday as it was ram navmi .

He went and opened the door only to be encircled in a bone crushing hug by his cousin. "nanav mere bhai ..i'm soo happy today" said he still hugging him.

"NK choro mujhai and tell what happened that you are soo happy." He asked in a not so interested tone.

waise bhi bataye bina toh tum mujhai choro gai nahi' (anyway you'll not leave me without telling) said arnav in his head.

"mere shadi hone wale hai" he answered as he released arnav from that hug.

And looking at arnav NK could see his shocked experessions and wonder why is arnav shocked.

But why wouldn't he be iss paagal irritating se bhi koi larke shadi karne ko' was what arnav was wondering. Because he never thought any girl in her right senses will agree to marry NK. NK !!!

NK was his elder mami's son. His elder mama and mami lived in delhi

They were not as rich as the raizada's but were a happy small family consisting of ram kumar, his wife sima kumar and their so nandkishore kumar. Living in the same city kumar's and raizada's met frequently.

They went towards the living room of the mansion and NK started to narrate his not so dramatic love story in his a lot of dramatic way.

"isn't my love story perfect..nanav ?" he asked as he finished his story.

And that mad arnav a little envious that even NK was easily able to confess his love he knew he has to do something soon.

khushi was really busy with some media wrork and had totally lost of any confession from arnav...he didn't even try to meet her the past few days...as if he was ignoring her...for almost a week they have not seen each other and this had made khushi's mode really bad and she had immersed herself in work.

she was in her study working when suddenly lavanya entered the room.

"get ready we are going for shopping" she announced as she entered not giving a single chance for khushi to speak.

Lavanya her childhood friend was a shopaholic and just loved shopping and when yesterday the date of her engagement was fixed with NK she the next moment had started preparing a mental list of the items she needed to shop for her engagement. And also for the dinner date she had today with NK in which she was going to meet her would be jiju.

She had chosen the perfect dress for her engagement. It was a light blue lehenga with silver border with a golden and silver embroidery duppata.

And it was crazy but khushi started to feel envious of lavanya who had got her perfect love story and she was still waiting for her love story to be complete...she wondered if it ever would be even complete.

She noticed the happy smile on her face which was there 24x7 and the dreamy look whenever she wondered about his reaction in that lehenga and thought that she wanted to be in her place.

The shopped for sometime and then a tired khushi forcefully dragged lavanya to the food court saying that she was hungry while lavanya wanted to shop some more

NK had just now left after having lunch with him. He had himself invited him for lunch saying he was hungry and will have food here and before arnav could say anything he started heating the food anjali had left for arnav.

The had talked about some random topic and then NK told that his engagement date got fixed and he had actually came to invite everyone.

He gave the invitation card to arnav not before saying that it is just a formality and they were family so they had to come.

Lavanya left for home after sometime of their return to khushi's home after shopping. She had also invited khushi for her engagement. Lavanya had also helped khushi choosing a pink anarkali for her when they go to meet NK tonight for dinner.

"tring tring" lavanya's phone ringed as she was busy selecting matching jewellery for the dress she had brought to wear today for the dinner...after all this was the first time they were going out for dinner after NK's confession ...though it was not a date and khushi was coming with her but you can't go to meet your fiance just like that ! she thought.

She saw that it was from NK and a small loving smile creep over her face and she answerers the call

She sighted as she disconnected the call...so not three but four people were going to dinner...NK had just told her that he is going to bring his cousin with him because NK wanted him to meet his would be wife.

Arnav sat on his recliner lost in his thoughts obviously about khushi as the dinner still had time left. His thoughts wandered over to the time when khushi said she wanted the perfect

Marriage proposal in the world.

~Flashback~

A 10 year old khushi came running towards an 11 year old in his room and sat on the nearby couch as he kept aside the video game he was playing with and looked at his best friend who looked at him with a dreamy-look.

"what happened ?" he asked with a cute confused face looking at her expressions. "arnav do you believe in love and happily ever afters ?" she suddenly asked still with that dreamy expression. "huh ?" his confusion only increased with her question.

"tell na..."

"why are you suddenly asking me this ?"

"uff...tum aise nahi manoge...woh kya hai na today I read a romantic "fairytale in which the prince falls in love with the princess which is the daughter of his kingdom's enimes...but more than their ages ago hate loved win and then prince confesses his love to the princess and they both live happily ever after...accha ab batao do you believe that love exists... Matlab I know it does...I love mama papa all my friends and u but does really such love happens...batao na"

"pagli..." he muttered under his breath.

"of course it does khushi doesn't our mama papa love each other are married to each other and live happily with us ?"

"huum... you are right ...that means I'll also find my prince charming when I grow up"

"yes..maybe you do khushi"

"yeh..." she gave him her brightest smile and excitedly started jumping on the bed..

"yipee...you know what arnav I want the most handsome prince in the world and I want him to propose me in a special way... the most perfect way.

~Flashback ends~

He remembered and smiled.

He wanted to be khushi's prince and wants to fulfil her wish of a perfect proposal and here he doesn't even know if he will be able to say even a word when the time comes.

Chapter 4 - Dinner, Date or Double date

Nk was very excited to meet lavanya. He was continuously telling arnav about how he planned things for their life while arnav didn't gave a damn to a single word he said. He saw green, When Nk had narrated how he proposed lavanya & how they made up, arnav was jealous. Jealous that his idiotic cousin as he called him, was set for his marriage. And here he was delaying his confession to khushi. Why the hell he can't confess & get over this over for once. He knew khushi liked him, the way she got conscious in his presence, was a proof of this. But then he knew she was no ordinary girl. She was his girl, he thought with a smile. He had to make it special for her.

"...and that is how I proposed lavanya" NK completed his love story & saw arnav smiling a bit.

'By your smile I can guess you have someone special in your life about whom you are thinking...am i right nanav ?' Nk teased him to which arnav came back to the world & composed himself.

'it's nothing..there is no one..and we have to go out right? Then why are we wasting time? Let's go' arnav said and moved out of the room while NK just mumbled something inaudible and followed him out.

Lavanya had told about all her plans with NK. Khushi felt sad hearing that. No, she was happy for her friend. But was feeling agitated at her lover who didn't even had the guts to propose.

'He might be laad governor for everyone. But for me, just for once, can't he forget his ego & propose me? Ab ye kaam bhi mujhe he karna padega kya?' She thought to herself. 'NO no he should confess first...!' she thought furiously.

'Khushi, where are you lost? I have been calling you for so long. Let's go, I don't wanna be late on my date' she winked at khushi and moved out of the room. Khushi knew she had to do something about making arnav confess soon, she will see to it. With this resolve, she followed lavanya.

Two black audi's made its way together inside the parking lot of 'StarShine Restaurant'. Lavanya & khushi stepped out of one, looking as stunning as ever. Whereas from the other car, Nk & arnav stepped out, causing several heads to turn in their direction.

Nk & lavanya had smile on their faces to see each other after 24 long hours. Nk held lavanya's hand & both walked in talking to each other leaving the other couple.

Khushi was just looking at the retreating couple, finding it awkward to talk with arnav after so long for the first time in her life she was feeling awkward to talk to arnav .They followed Lavanya and NK in silence..That's when she heard him say in his husky voice -

'Hi khushi' She turned to see him calm and composed. she felt like stomping her foot but controlled herself..and here she was getting so nervous ! She won't let him have his way this time, she humphed!

At first he was surprised to see her here. He saw as she entered the famous expensive restaurant they had choose to have dinner in along with lavanya. What was she doing here ? was his first thought.

But then his surprise turned into shock as khushi and lavanya came near them and NK went to them and hugged lavanya.

He had stared at the couple for few seconds in shock and then his eyes went towards the left to look at his lady love whose face was mirroring the expression same as his...shocked.

So she also didn't know I am NK's cousin as I didn't knew lavanya was NK's love.

He did knew lavanya before but as a friend of khushi and hadn't thought even once that she could know NK...let alone be his girlfriend.

Suddenly his eyes moved back to look at her figure glad in a pink anarkali suit and all he could think was the she looked 'beautiful.' He saw NK & lavanya busy in their talks as they walked towards the booked table. He decided to talk to khushi. It had been a long time since he had heard her voice.

'Hi khushi' he greeted her & she turned her head and looked at him...their eyes met and for a few seconds they kept staring at each other, his favorite color adorning her face making her look more adorable.

She looked at him for a while & then spoke, in a formal way.

'Hey arnav, its been long isn't?'

Arnav was quite taken aback with it. By her tone he knew she was pissed off and now he had to think fast to convince his lady love.

'Yeah, long time indeed. I wonder when we had last talked' he said casually, a blush crept on her cheeks as they remembered their almost kiss. He smiled.

'Let's sit in?' he asked as they reached the table booked for them.

She nodded unsure if the words will come out properly.

Nk had reserved a private dinner area for lavanya. So khushi and arnav decided not to disturb their moments & they sat together on a table, awkward it was!

'What would you like to have?' khushi asked arnav, as he was quiet, the waiter had came & given them the menu. Khushi took the menu searching for something good to try, being the foodie she was. She waited for arnav to ask her but he didn't. God, was he even a man? Everything done by a man, she was doing! She asked him what he wanted & still he hadn't replied? What was up with this man? God, how did she even fell in love with him ? She wondered.

"Arnav, what would you like to have ?" she asked again and looked up to see him directly gazing at her. She flushed under his intense gaze.

"you" arnav didn't knew this word left his mouth! Khushi looked at him wide eyed.

'Erm..I mean...you order what you like' he covered up immediately. Khushi didn't dare to look at him. She ordered the dishes & both sat in silence, a silence which was so frustrating for her & also him. But she had decided, she will not initiate this time till he is vocal with his feelings for her.

Arnav knew, he had to, whatsoever it could be, but he just had to make a conversation. So he spoke what came in his mind first.

'Khushi, see the aquarium there. It looks so beautiful na? So many fishes? I wonder how many will there be in the sea..

he knew he was speaking rubbish but he just had to keep her talking.

Khushi shot him a 'have you lost it?' look and then averted her eyes to other place. He had been watching her since past half an hour. She was continuously staring somewhere. As he followed her view, he saw Nk & lavanya feeding each other. Khushi had a lost look in her eyes, as if she was longing for the same. At the same time both looked at each other! Both knew they wanted this but then again they didn't knew what do to. Their dinner was over and arnav messaged NK telling that he will be dropping khushi, to which lavanya agreed!

Both walked to the parking lot, khushi lost in her thoughts while arnav again finding something to talk with her.

"Erm... khushi?"

No reply!

"Khushi ???"

'No reply!

"Khushi ?"

"What is your problem?" she suddenly lashed at him!

"What? What did I do now?" he said surprised by her sudden outburst.

"Exactly! You didn't did anything! Even a snail is faster than you."

"What are you talking about?"

"You know exactly what I am talking about"

And then arnav got the point. But hey, did she just broached the topic by herself. This is getting interested. He decided to tease her.

"I am so done with you" he heard her speaking again.

"For 'done' you need to have to do something"

"You know, you don't have the courtesy as to how you should behave with a woman on her first date"

"I am not experienced and I didn't knew it was a date"

"Oh yeah? So was I informed before? Look I didn't even knew you were coming"

"So? As If I am god & I had imagined my so called date would be coming?"

"At least you should have had the courtesy to ask me for the dinner. And that thing also was asked my me! Everyone from our group have proposed their lady love. I wonder when will you..." she almost bit her tongue for this but arnav was to fast to catch her last bit.

"When will I what khushi?"

'You know what? Now I think, I did a mistake! I think I should have considered the proposal sent my mother got for me.'

This made him alert! His khushi with someone else? A big NO!

"Why you didn't tell me?"

"As if you ever asked me?"

"Khushi we sat in the restaurant together alone for around 1 and half hours, and you didn't had the time to tell me about it?"

"Why does it matter to you? And btw, why should I not accept this proposal ? He is handsome, rich and a family friend.."

"A FAMILY FRIEND? Who are you talking about?"

"I..." she was at loss of words. How could she possibly tell him that he was the one whose proposal was brought to her. She won't till he proposes her!

"Err...nothing of your business" she tried to make a move but he caught hold of her arm & pulled her back.

"Everything related to you is of my damn business"

"Why? Why does it matter to you?"

"Because I love you dammit"

Chapter 5 : the real date

"Because I love you dammit !" there..he had finally said it ! finally he had confessed what he had in his heart to the one that his heart belonged to.

As the five letters left his mouth he felt a soft punch on his chest and heard khushi almost shout " you idiot !"

Well whatever reaction he expected for her when he would confess his love for her this definitely wasn't that...he was truly surprised.

The next thing he knew was the feeling of her soft body against his own hard one..two thin milky white arms wrapped around his waist and her face digging in the crook of his neck.

He was even more surprised.

"I love you too" he heard her say as a soft whisper placing her lips near his ear.

He felt a slight shiver run down his spine when he finally heard what he longed to hear since so long.

They stayed in silence for a while enjoying and savoring the feel of being in each other's arms.

But the silence was short lived as he felt soft pushes and punches on his chest as khushi pulled back from their embrace.

"why couldn't you say it earlier ...you made me wait so much ...you..you idiot"

She said but tears of happiness were brimming in her eyes.

She kept repeating the same called him idiot ..monkey stupid and god knows what telling him how much she felt bad when she heard about lavanaya and NK ..how she felt jealous ..how she waited and waited for him to confess his feeling..

He shook his heading thinking yeh..khushi hai afterall'

He had to stop her by pulling her back him his arms, resting her head on his head and telling he to calm down and stop. When she was silent again sobbing as a smile lingered on her lips. He softly kissed the top of her head and said "I am sorry I made you wait so long but I wanted the moment to be perfect but I couldn't find a perfect way to confess nor I could find the courage to and hence I kept my feelings to myself till now..i remember you saying you wanted the best proposal ever from your man..the one that you dreamed of ...I want to be you man and so wanted to give your dream proposal to you...but look my plan flopped..i couldn't even hear about you being with someone else forgot bear that happening and so I couldn't stop myself from telling you my feelings."

"you remembered that but you forgot when I said to you love is love it doesn't matter how it is said its needed to be said..words give the assurance and conforms what the heart feels..i needed the assurance so badly arnav."

"I said am sorry jaan"

"jaan ?" she asked softly with a chuckle..it felt just different to be called like that from him.

"YES ! jaan ! you are my life khushi..i love you" he whispered the last part ever so softly in her ear.

Khushi pulled back from the hug but arnav still held her by the waist in fact pulled her even closer to him...so much that it may be difficult for even air to pass through the gap between their bodies. Slowly he bend his head down and landed his lips on her.

It was a kiss of pure love.

A kiss of promises.

A kiss full of feelings

A kiss of confession conveying all that heart held.

It was slow but passionate. Soft and alluring.

They felt small dribs of water when they broke apart and both looked up together to find it was raining..

A bright and excited smile lit up on khushi's face as she turned back to arnav and asked while pulling her hand forward "dance with me" ...he eyes glimmered like a little kid.

"wha..at" arnav said startled.

"I said dance with me" khushi explained like she was talking to a little kid.

"but in the rain...and here in a parking lot"

"yeah" khushi replied like it was the most obvious and common thing in the world

"there is no music too" arnav tried to reason

"so what..the words are in our hearts and the tune is in this rain"

Khushi said and she ran a little further away from arnav and twirled around with her arms spread wide and head up facing the clouds.

Arnav looked at her as she twirled and jumped around in the rain and felt his heart swell with love for this beautiful innocent and crazy girl.

He smiled and moved towards her. He grabbed her wrist just before she could spin again and pulled her towards his... her came in contact with his chest as he wrapped his arms around her.

"you are beautiful"

He let the words whisper out of his mouth as he moved her along to dance with his he slowly turned her towards him and started to sway around as he pulled her arms to wrap around his neck and placed his palms on the sides of her waist. Her hands moved to tangle in his black tresses.

They danced to the rhythm of their hearts for what felt like a really long time. Their eyes locked to one another.

Their hearts leaping in joy now that the confessions of their hearts were disclosed to each other.

While their drive back towards khushi's house, she spotted an ice cream cart and immediately forced arnav to park the car on the side and get her and himself and her ice creams.

"no khushi we are already wet because of the rain...you shouldn't stay like this for long. We should go home and change otherwise we'll fall sick..." was his reply

But khushi is khushi and she always got her way...well at least with arnav and so he found his running towards the ice cream cart to bring ice creams.

He returned to the car with a plastic bag containing a butterscotch ice cream for khushi and plain vanilla for himself.

Khushi smiled widely as she attacked her ice cream with glee that resembled one of a four year old.

They both had their ice cream in silence until arnav stopped mid bite and frowned "who were you talking about ..the one you got proposal from"

He asked.

Khushi slowly stopped eating and looked at him with a teasing grin plastered on her face

"you idiot"

"WHA..AT"

"I mean..i got your proposal...uncle and aunty came to me to ask my hand for marrige with you and I agreed but told them not to tell anything to you till you yourself confess that you love me"

"you knew I loved you didn't you" he said it more like a statement.

She knew he loved her just like he knew she loved him. But they just didn't want to confess.

"MOMMY !"

"what happened sweetheart ?"

"That IDIOT !...aayush said he HATED ME ! hated me mom !"

"baby.."

"STUPID ! he said I am stupid ...HE ! he is the one who is stupid !"

She paced around the distance from door to bed again and again but during her fifth round collided with her father who was entering the room looking at his phone and not paying attention to the chaos around him.

Arnav stopped and looked down at his angry twelve years old daughter.

Her face so much like her mother's.

He still remembered the first time he saw her...her tiny figure wrapped in a pink fluffy blanket her eyes crying...cheek a shade of rosy pink...the warmth he felt as he first held her and she stopped crying opened her eyes and looked at him with that sparkle in her eyes that had him head over heels in love with his little girl.

"..how dare he..he say I am stupid" he was brought out of his thoughts by her voice.

It took him a second to process who she was talking about and then he looked up at his wife while shaking his head..his eyes communicated with khushi saying again ?'

Khushi shook her head in affirmation

By now they were quite used to this happening

Aayush their next door neighbor and their daughter Ashi had formed an unusual friendship in the past two years that they have been living in this new house.

They fought a lot like they were enemies ...argued almost on everything thing but were always there for each other

After each fight one of them would run away in anger and the other would follow ...ask him/her to play a game and they will get busy playing, the fight totally forgotten for the time being...they never apologized to each other.

Arnav and khushi looked at each other and smiled...communicating without words ...they knew they had the same thing in mind.

Their relationship reminded them of their own childhood. Their friendship a lot like aayush and ashi's.

They wondered if their relationship will take a similar path.

They could just hope aaysh and ashi confess what is in their hearts sooner than they did.
