Why not give DP her due?
1. She struggled to reach where she is today. Though she gave hits like Om Shanti Om and Love Aaj Kal, it is only with Cocktail that her acting potential was recognised.
2. She has actually improved her acting by leaps and bounds. there was a time when she was in a movie just for the glam doll factor. Today she is more than a diva. She is an ACTRESS.
3. Today she can carry a film on her shoulders. Be it Piku or even the offbeat Finding fanny, Deepika had a role which demanded acting chops, she lived upto it and how!
4. DP has screen presence, looks, dancing ability.
5. She can do item dances like 'Lovely', and author-backed roles like Piku,both with equal ease.
6. She proved her acting chops with Cocktail. She was simply BRILLIANT in that movie.
7. 2013 was her year with back-to-back hits which were all part of the 100 crore club.
