This is Bollywood forum but hardly anyone visit Hollywood section.I watched recently few high ratings critics movies which I found boring.So I want suggestion for non boring good Hollywood movies.

Some less discussed good movies which I saw

The fall [2006] loved it.I recommend it to everyone.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower 3/5

The theory of everything-You may find it boring or slow but if u finish it.It is good movie.

''21'' - 3/5

Keith-Loved it.4/5.Romantic movie

taken 3 isnt that great..

thriller- non stop, unknown, loft(watch original not remake), walking among tombstones(little slow), the last three days, escape plan, da vinci code, angels n demons, primal fear, orphan, orphanage

action - kingsman(damn good),MI series, hunger games,incredible hulk,enders game, transformers, wanted, salt(pretty good)

horror-- insidious chapter 3(heard good), conjuring, jessabelle, deliver us from evil, drag me to hell, as above so below, annabelle, insidious chapter 1 and 2

drama- magic in the moonlight, the best exotic marigold hotel, grand budapest hotel, hundred foot journey, great gatsby, curious case of benjamin button(my favorite), forrest gump, the terminal, this is where I leave you( actually I imagined all the characters of DDD in this..it can be remade as a sequel to DDD)

comedy--- crazy stupid love, date night, mouse hunt, get smart, charlie and chocolate factory, wolf of wall street(i felt comical), mean girls, dumb and dumber 2

tragedy(disaster)---sanandreas, united 93, the impossible

sci fi and upcoming generation---- enders game, predestination,project almanac, district 9, the host, divergent, insurgent, maze runner, lucy, interstellar

If you are into Sci-fi;
Ex-Machina.
A great movie about AI that asks deeps questions and makes you think and pay attention to what is happening on screen. Brilliantly made with solid performances.
Predestination.
One of the most original works I have ever seen.Pure genius. The twists and turn will blow your mind; it truly mind-bending. I was left with my mouth hanging open with what was happening on screen.
A strangers walks into a bar and promises to tell you the best story ever and boy does he live up to that promise.

Or if you want to try out classics give The Matrix and The Balde Runner a go. I saw them again this week and they get better with each viewing. The visuals in both of them are magical;a sight to behold.

Some others;

Whiplash.
About a jazz drummer who wants to be one of the greats of all time. Miles Teller (one of my favorite upcoming actor) and JK Simmons are exceptional. Their tango of a master and a pupil is a sight to behold, the chemistry b/w the two is toxic. The best movie of 2014 for me.

The Imitation Game.
What a movie. Set against the back-drop of the WW2; it focuses on the story of Alan Turing and on other war fought alongside it. In the world of codes, programs , secret messages and machines. Also provide a commentary on what it meant to be living in those time. I was shocked and appalled at what happened in the end.

These are from 2014/2015 apart from the classics recommendations.
