0.3] Relationship between the characters

Disclaimer: You may find the relationship between all characters a little confusing initially, because there are SO MANY of them. But eventually, as the story progresses, I'm certain you will understand and love them. On that note...

The Khuranas and Raizadas are related. Savitri and Devyani are sisters. Savitri married a Khurana. Devyani married a Raizada.

• Savitri Khurana is Dev, Maan and Anwesha's paternal grandmother (dadi).
• Dev is married to his childhood sweetheart Naintara.
• Maan is single and prefers to stay away from women. He barely speaks to outsiders.
• Anwesha is a quiet person and harbours feelings for Arjun.

• Devyani Raizada's daughter Malini filed for a divorce when her twins were merely 2 months old, after she found out about her husband's infidelity. She then changed hers and her children's surnames back to her maiden surname, Raizada. Malini died young, leaving her parents to take care of her four children. Devyani is the loving maternal grandmother (nani) of Anjali, Aakash, Arnav and Nandkishore.
• Anjali was married to Shyam. Shyam died in a road accident 3 years ago.
• Aakash is usually an introvert, but interacts with his family openly. He's a Professor of Fashion Engineering.
• Arnav and NK are twins. They are far from being identical. They look very different, and are poles apart in their nature and behaviour. Whilst Arnav likes peace and is a man of few words, NK radiates life and prefers being loud.

• The younger generation of the Khuranas and the Raizadas are 2nd cousins. However, they behave unlike distant relatives. They are more like a gang of 7 close friends, or maybe 7 siblings.

• Shashi Gupta is a small time entrepreneur who runs his halwai (sweetmeat) store in Lucknow and Delhi, for which he keeps shuttling between the two cities very often. He is married to Garima. His sister, Rano Handa, moved in with him when her young husband died.
• Shashi and Garima have three daughters.
• Payal is quiet and prudent. She works for AR Designs.
• Riddhima is a pediatrician because she loves biology and children.
• Khushi is a student of fashion engineering. She is very Lucknowy in her mannerisms.

• Rano Handa (Shashi Gupta's sister and Mohinder Handa's widow) has two children.
• Arjun is a researcher in English and Indian Literature.
• Geet is a student of Architecture. She is verrry Punjaban in her mannerisms.

• The five Gupta-Handa cousins are closely knit. Arjun is the only brother to his 4 darling sisters.

• Prithvi Saxena is Naintara Khurana's brother. He lost his wife Damini Saxena in a road accident. He has a 6 year old son, Aarav.

• Armaan Mallik is a pediatrician who is absolutely not fond of children. Because of this, he does not practice as a doctor or surgeon. He owns and runs Sanjeevani - a pediatric hospital, which once belonged to his unmarried uncle, Shashank Mallik.
• Nupur Mallik, a fashion designer and Payal's friend and colleague.
• Gunjan Mallik, also a fashion designer. Armaan and Nupur's sister.

• Aditya and Aman Mathur are brothers, and each hold an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Delhi University.
• Aman is AR Design's Manager - Asia and North America.
• Adi is Khurana Constructions' Manager - Asia and Europe.
• Aman is married to Lavanya, his once upon a time associate from Khurana Constructions.
• Adi likes Pinky Manchanda.
• Adi and his sister-in-law Lavanya are colleagues at Khurana Constructions.

• Nakul and Navya are a married couple who are the Khuranas' head domestic help.
• Hari Prakash and Om Prakash are brothers and head the Raizadas' domestic chores.
